I got this for my dad, who worked in a hardware store for 20 years, and he seemed very impressed! The end piece is also a hook, to help when measuring!

I work as a real estate appraiser and use this tape daily. The crank handle broke off my last one after much use. Wish the tape were fiberglass instead of steel to avoid the rust.

I finally got the opportunity to use the full 100' of this tape measure. After multiple attempts, I have not been able to fully roll the tape back into the unit - 8' remains outside the holder. I just threw the tape measure in the garbage as nothing I tried resolved the problem. My recommendation is to not buy this product.

I paid a bit extra because it is made in the United States. Apex Tool Group is in MD but the tape measure is labeled on the package "Made in Mexico".

this is the longest (100 ft) measuring tape in the most compact size that is available. Fits snug on your belt loop and is not bulky at all. a metal tape with clear black on yellow markings. i use it year round and it gets dragged thru mud, wet grass, snow and rain. if it's not wiped off the wear goes faster and it will get a bit rusty then break at the weakest spot. I've used these steadily for over 10-years and with constant use one will last about a year, to year and half.

The product is great quality, but does not match the product description below it. I wanted and thought I was going to get a tape that measured in feet/inches on one side and meters/centimeters on the other. This item only measures in feet/inches. Big disappointment.
