these are better that the original
They're a little tedious to install, but that has to do with the location of the tail lights. Even a normal license plate bulb wouldn't be easy to install. Once they are installed they are bright and very functional.

Fits perfectly, light looks great
Snapped right into place easily. Light output is nice and clean white, brighter than stock but not too bright. Works a lot better than buying a simple festoon style bulb set since those tend to rotate themselves so that the light output isn't consistent on both sides. This works well and does exactly what I wanted it to.

Easy install!!!
Except for getting the plugs in, it was an easy installation!!! Also looks great...much better then originals.

Excellent upgrade. Beyond expectations
This is by far the most satisfying upgrade to the Mini I have made for the price point. Installs in mins, no bulb error code, and very bright. Looks like the leds on a Lexus or high end car. 5 stars. Well worth it.

Lasted two month
I plugged these in on a 2013 MINI back in late January and first impressions were great. Very clean, bright and no error codes. But I should have known that they wouldn’t last long; the first side went in fine but the other never really clicked in place and I was never sure if it was seated properly. After two months of use the one light has burned out entirely. It looks as if it overheated and melted the internals. The lens is all brown and the unit is useless. It’s a shame because they looked great on day one.

Almost there
I purchased these to replace the dates and dim bulbs on a stock 2012 Mini Cooper S. First one I tried to install would not light up. I tried installing the other one in the first bulbs place and it worked. Fit is very tight but it does fit. Tolerances are tight enough that it should help keep them from rattling around and letting moisture in. Went back to the first replacement and tried installing in the second bulb’s position. The replacement still wouldn’t work. I jostled it around a bit and it flashed on for a second. Upon examining the leads there black wire disassociated from its solder pad. I took it to my office where I keep my soldering supplies and tried resoldering it down. After getting it remolded to its pad I tried re-installing into the second bulb’s position. This time after full insertion the item ended up working. They are substantially brighter than the stock bulbs. If the company’s quality control was on point then this would be a solid 5 star. This is just what I ran into. YMMV
