New BalanceMen's 412 V1 Alloy Toe Industrial Shoe

So I bought these a little under a year ago as a lightweight replacement for my logger boots as my job had me working in high heat conditions. The dissapative tech was a bonus as I was also working with semi-high voltages in a wet environment. As far as keeping your foot and toe areas protected this shoe does a good job at it. The alloy toe feels solid and lightweight although overall the shoe is still a bit on the heavier side as far as safety shoes go but after you see how thick the shoe is you'll understand why. They 'were' effective at being waterproof up until recent months. Both shoes seem to somehow get moisture into the tip of the toe, I am not sure if this is because of bad stitch design or if it is because the rubber shoetip is starting to degrade but these guys will not be seeing any more mud puddles any time soon. As far as support goes the insoles that came with the shoes did not stay in place well and I had to modify them until I could get replacements. They do make and trap sweat in your shoes if you are someone who has sweaty feet as the waterproofing works both ways unfortunately, but its no different than wearing your boots.Overall if you need a decent, affordable shoe that will last a good while these are a great buy. They helped my feet stay as cool as possible at work for my 12 hour shifts on the hard concrete. The toe was effective at stopping minor equipment such as small forklifts and power jacks from crushing my toes so I am pleased with my purchase but I do hope they work on a better insole. Not the shoe you'll have for years, but then again for the price they are still worth it for what they offer.

The product arrived via fast delivery (before 8 am next day). I wonder if Amazon knows that this product is likely to be needed for work and therefore offers extra fast delivery. The shoe fits great. The sole does not have any arch support but thankfully, it can be replaced easily with another insole. I bought the black and grey which looks very non-discrete and low maintenance. It's bulkier than a running shoe but not as much as a hiking shoe. The leather upper should hold up better than nylon uppers. NB has a reputation for making shoes that are good for your feet so that's another reason for going with this shoe. I purchased another competing shoe but the fit and quality for NB was better. I expect to be walking around industrial environments in my profession so this shoe should serve me well for travel as well.

I bought these for work in a machine shop with constantly oily floors and the slip resistance in this case is 10/10. Comfort is probably an 7/10, not terrible but I bought some insoles for them anyways. Lifespan however, is a solid 5/10. My first pair lasted just a little over a year before having to buy new ones due to the sides busting out and detaching from the sole, and that's literally from use only at work. These things live in my locker and I wear different shoes to and from work. But since I have 4E width feet (which is what these are in "Extra-Wide") I have virtually no other options for work shoes unless I want to switch to boots and pay double or triple the price of these.

Bought these to replace a cheap $40 Suadex pair that didn't last. These cost a few dollars more, but are still far less expensive than Red Wings, and appear to be just as well made. Also quite a bit more comfortable, immediately right out of the box with no break-in. I also like that they're available in wide widths. Time will tell re how they'll wear and how they'll hold up. But my first impression so far has been a good one. Fit was as expected.

I like everything about these shoes! I have to use steel toe/alloy toe for work every day and these have been the most comfortable works shoes I have ever owned! My feet don’t get tired and I’m on my feet all day! Great shoes

I have been looking everywhere for a lightweight, wide, breathable shoe with SUPPORT and I finally found it here! At 215lbs working in a factory my feet were killing me from other shoe brands. These feel like a slightly heavier regular athletic shoe. Not like your feet are stuck to the ground.

These are comfortable and overall good but my complaints are that they seem a bit heavy (but they are a safety toe) and the don’t breathe well so my feet sweat.

Very comfortable shoes to wear for a long period of time I work 8-10 hours a day and they’re awesome.

El producto es de calidad se ve bien a la vista y la gente nota tus calzado. Pero .... Son incomodisimos . No tienen soporte o la.suela está nulamente acojinada. Estar de pie con ellos es muy muy incómodo. Así que busquen otras opciones.... Tengo otros de marca Skechers y la suela interna es un poco más cómoda. Estos new balance es como traer un zapato industrial común que no son nada cómodos. Así los new balanceEl área del casquillos es algo reducida así que pues si esperan.mover sus dedos van a batallar. Largo y ancho es std.En fin yo no los recomendaría.

Se sienten como un tenis, nunca habia utilizado calzado de seguridad en presentacion de tenis y se sienten muy bien al momento de escribir este review puedo decir despues de 3 horas de uso se siente muy bien lo que si le cambie fue la plantilla inmediatamente ya que tienen una muy sencilla sin soporte en el arco, le puse unas dr sholls que son para gente arriba de 90kg y estan muy bien a comparacion de las botas pesadas del trabajo. Update: después de pasar por el arco de detección de metales me di cuenta que son de acero la punta así que si en tu empresa tienen arcos de detección cada que salgas vas a estar pitando solo para tenerlo en cuenta.En un tiempo mas adelante dare detalles de como las he sentido pero me han quitado la preocupacion de tener calzado de seguridad en el trabajo porque ya no me cansan y se siente la diferencia, si les recomiendo cambiar la plantilla por algo mejor ya sea de unos tenis por ejemplo asics o unas dedicadas como las dr. que mencione arriba.de entrada son excelentes para estar mas ligero y menos cansancio, recomiendo estos tenis

Están super padres, el único detalle es que no especifican que son Wide, así que me quedaron super grandes. Si tu pie es ancho son perfectos para ti, de lo contrario no sé si media talla menos arregle el problema. Pero sí están muy padres, parecen tenis normales.
