Good Advice from Long Ago
Konrad Most uses many methods that were not yet codified in the behavior modification literature. As a result, "compulsion" is apparently used for both negative reinforcement and for punishment. His section on retrieving can be ignored as it is better covered by William Koehler and Delmar Smith. However, his regular admonishments regarding anthropomorphizing in dog training are a valuable part of this book. He also gives useful information regarding tracking. Please note this book was written around the time of WW I and Konrad was not on our side.

The book is very helpful and informative.
My cousin trains therapy dogs and I have an Uncle who used to work for the author.

Ok
I think this book deviates from the true publishing of konrad most however I think that this book is still a very good read and very interesting to say the least especially to dog owners who are new to training.
