Love the pen
An excellent pen, a smooth writing pen, the included converter is easy to fill and it writes, right away.

Hey it's a Lamy Safari clone
Let's be honest! There is some debate in the pen world about the legality/integrity of basically copying another manufacturers pen. If you want a Safari, then buy one. I just liked the style of this pen and it's about half the price of it's Lamy brother and this one comes with a 6 pack of inks. The pen is very lightweight. A little too lightweight for my tastes. I prefer to have a little heft in my pen. It's made of plastic and the writing is pretty smooth. Other than that, it's exactly how it looks in the picture. Enjoy!

Dont work
It don't work, you have to shake it like crazy for the ink to flow, and then it writes for a couple of letters, then you need to shake it again for it to work, I hate to waste my Money on crab like this

Bad flow, tip too sharp
this pen is just miserable...the nib is so fine to the point where it tears the paper it writes on. The flow is miserable and consistency breaks flow even after an extensive break in treatment/period. This is garbage. The only reason it has 2 starts instead of 1 is due to the fact that it is one of the better plastic builds I have seen in a cheap fountain pen. Other than that, it sucks...

A frustrating knock-off
This is a Lamy Safari knock-off but, other than a nearly identical appearance, is quite a different pen. It's scratchier and dries up in a relatively short while even with the cap on. The skipping is absolutely frustrating. It's a Chinese copy of a fantastic German pen and a reminder that you get what you pay for in most cases. I would spend more to get the real deal Lamy.

Lamy Safari knock-off at half the price means you are winning....
If you know what you are getting then this is a good pen deal. As mentioned in another review this is a knock off of the May Safari. I love the design of the Lamy Safari and own three of them. The issue with all my Safari's however is that the fit and finish of the pen is not spectacular. After a few months of carrying around the lids decide not to fit all that well. Out of the box this Hero knock-off looks identical to the Lamy and has a tighter fitting cap at less than half the price. This comes with an ink converter for bottle filling and 6 blue ink cartridges. Inked up easily on the first cartridge. Writes just like a Lamy. The extra fine nib seems to write a little wider than the Lamy extra fine nib but not by much.Don't get me wrong with the 5 star rating as this is not a high end fountain pen. But for a well done knock-off of a German pen the Hero 359 knocks it out of the park. A converter alone for a pen like this can cost $2-3 bucks so when you can get that plus additional ink cartridges for less than 10 you are definitely winning.
