Sighhh.....I am obsessed with Happy and Marc, because I fell in love with Happy immediately in book one. My heart broke for him, and then I loved watching him gain a family through Marc and the people of Cade Creek. He was impossible to lose the number one place in my heart throughout this series and i was so glad to see it end with more from he and Marc... I'm actually hoping this long series keeps going for another dozen or so books, because I just can't get enough fo them.In this one, the guys are happy together, still in love and bein all cute. For Happy's very first in person fourth of July show at Ma and Da's ranch, Marc gets him a puppy, which brings up a sensitive subject for Happy.... kids.Happy knows that he requires a little more work and a little more patience, and wonders if he and Marc will ever be able to have any. What Happy forgets though, is that Marc loves him so much.... he would do anything he could, no matter what, to make his husband Happy, and of course he wants a family with the big softy.And you've read any of my reviews at all, you know how i feel about hot dads. With all the love Happy has in his heart, he'd make the best one. So, when a new family in town causes some trouble and it ends in murder, Marc finds the man's daughter and she takes to him instantly. Not knowing who her family is or where they came from, Marc takes the scred little girl home with him until they can locate her family.They fall in love with her though, and she has so much in common with Happy, and I just loved watching him with her. It was just all so sweet and heartwarming.... have I mentioned how much I love Happy?Of course, this would not be a Cade Creek story without murder, deception, ridiculous situations and off the wall bits that are a little too wild for reality, but it works with this one. I was surprised at who the bad guys were, and it was entertaining to try to figure out the what's and who's and why's....Overall though, I just loved seeing this family grow and these guys open their hearts to someone who needed it so badly. What a great addition to an amazing series. I'm kind of sad that it's over.5 well deserved, HAPPY stars from me.

Re-read Sept. 29, 2024Oh. My. Gosh ! I have loved this whole series by Stormy Glenn. I know the covers are different from most, but inside... the meat of the writing contains some of the most compelling tales ever. Be sure to have lots of tissues ready.We met 6' 9" tall, blue-eyed Happy, a mentally challenged man we met previously, as we learned about his tragic childhood. He's come a long way and is with Deputy Sheriff, sweet Marc. Here we find a deep tale of abuse and it's generational culmination of murder. A 5 yr. old girl is then all alone, and traumatized.Marc rescues her and he and Happy will foster her, but then a horrible relative comes along. The beautiful folks in Cade Creek "circle the wagons" like they do in a western, to protect the girl and Happy.I cried, I sighed, and was completely absorbed in this short, stunning book. It's not hard to grasp Happy's inner thoughts and memories, as the author gives us a realistic feeling for him. He and Marc are perfect together, and the hot as hell sexy times are amazing. Readers of this fabulous set of stories will be thrilled with this book. It can stand alone, as any of this series can, but I'm glad I know the back history of each character.I recommend this book. ENJOY !============

Always liked this series love reading more about Happy hope there is more to come. Again love this glad to see them start their family it would be fun to get a couple more kids.

I love the series overall, but I always look for the smallest glimpse of Happy in every book. More than any of the other characters in this series he touched my heart. And so I was over the moon to have another book with him and his love being the main MCs.They are both still adorable together, I loved that we saw his beloved mom is moving forward and I enjoyed beyond words the relationship between the main MCs. It's such a thin line his husband is walking, between helping Happy understand and overtaking completely, and he is walking it like a maestro.Thank you for another lovely addition to the world of Cade Creek

Happy and Marc are my two favorite characters in the Cade Creek Series. I love Happy he is just so lovable and his love for his mama and Marc is just so sweet. This second installment picks up with Happy and Marc enjoying their HEA with a few twisted twists and turns that are a joy and threat to them but with the help of family and their friends of Cade Creek not to forget my favorite family the Blaecleah's made this one good story and a must read for me!

I want to live in Cade Creek! I've thought this many times while reading this series, and my mind hasn't been changed. My Girlfriend and I would fit in perfectly! She's an "Oddball Artist" ( her words, not mine, I think she's brilliant.) I'm an English major working for a grocery store. I stole her from our home town when her skank mother couldn't accept that I'm female. She's my everything.

This was another outstanding book I loved it and I can't wait to read more of this or any other book Stormy comes out with and I hope it's soon........

Was given a copy of this book.Ok story but way too short and way too many grammar errors for the price. This author doesn't give a good product for the price. Why are so many people fawning over her books? Ugh!!!
