Description
- This beautiful bracelet combines gold-finished sculpted Bastet Cat stations with a double strand of 2mm and 3mm carnelian stone, blue turquoise and blue sodalite beads complimented by a toggle clasp. Bracelet measures 6.5 inch with six 1/2 inch cat charms. The Egyptian cat reflects the goddess Bastet protector of women, felicity and joy. The 13mm x 4mm Bastet Cat charms are smooth faced, crowned with the solar disk and hallmarked at the bottom of each sculpture.

They represented Bastet, the cat-headed goddess of Bubastis, a city in the northeastern delta of Lower Egypt. Originally linked to the sun god Re, Bastet came to be associated with the life preserving power of the sun, the protection of women, felicity and joy. Our cat is a reproduction of a faience (glazed earthenware) amulet.
