Audley Home 800 Thread Count 100% Egyptian Cotton, 4 Piece Bedsheet Set, 18” Deep Pockets, Smooth & Soft Sateen Weave, 5 Star Hotel Quality (Sage Grey, King)

After going to BB&B, Macy's and Kohl's and seeing lower thread counts for TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS I was skeptical about whether these sheets at UNDER $80 would be any good...let me tell you they are FABULOUS. Heavy, smooth, luxurious. Did I mention fabulous?

I purchased these 7 weeks ago and washed them 7 times so far. They are not getting softer. I also don't think they are Egyptian cotton. They scratch like sandpaper because after the first washing they started pilling up as well as single threads pulling through so that you see a big long line across the sheet. I've owned Egyptian cotton sheets from Pottery Barn and they WERE SOFT and didn't pill, etc. Yes, I should have returned them but I had way too much going on and I had guests (I purchased another set for that bed and the same thing happened) so didn't have the time. Now I'm two weeks past the "return by" date. Complete waste of my money. What drew me in was the color of the guest bedding that I needed so figured I'd get another set in this color for my bed. Wish I didn't.

Love the thickness and quality of the sheet set but the only reason why I'm not giving it a 5 star is I wish the fitted sheet was deeper. It just fits but I think it will shrink more with washings and be difficult to keep it from coming undone off the mattress. I would order more if you can make the fitted sheets deeper. Another thing I found after washing the sheets they're very wrinkly, I took them right out of the drier and it's pretty bad. You'll need to iron them if you like crisp sheets otherwise it's a wrinkled mess. Other then that I would order more sheets from this company for my other beds that are not deep pillow tops, can't beat the price and thick rich feel of these sheets.

Every time they are washed, they shrink even more. Will not be long until they will not fit any longer.

I was so excited to get new sheets when they arrived they looked great. When I put them on the beds, the top and bottom sheet and both pillow cases had flaws in the fabric, snags and weak spots. I don't know how long they were warehoused. There was no date on any of the Audley Home tags and nothing on any of the packaging VERY Disappointing!!! I had also purchased 2 other sets. This was the case with the two other sets of sheets as well. Only 1 of the other pillow cases was without flaw. 1 out of 6 pillow cases. They were not advertised as seconds which apparently they are.

Recently purchased a King Size set of the Audley Home 800 Thread Count 100% Egyptian Cotton in Plum color for our new Hybrid Mattress. In comparison to other sheets purchased from Amazon, it was immediately evident by the weight of the package these were different. Packaging is simple and clean. After washing and drying (no fabirc softner or dryer sheets) changed the bed linens. The color held well and did not fade after 1st cleaning.The corner pockets on these sheets were deep and easy to fit our hybrid mattress. The top sheet was not short and also fit the bed very well - very nice and well done - Thank you!I'm rating the Comfort level of these sheets at 4 after one washing (again without fabric softner) due to the fact the sheets seem a little stiff, however, IMO that's a good thing becuase after several washings I'm almost positive the fibers will wear and relax a little.COMFORT = these sheets hug you with gentle warmth but the fabric breathes, not like many of the Poly*%@ sheets which are sold.Compared to other 800 TC Egyptian Cotton sheet sets which we might have purchased on sale locally, these were a little pricey, but we'll probably purchase another set when they go on sale - (HINT HINT).

The Color and Craftsmanship is outstanding. Although, these sheets aren't nearly as soft as I hoped! The whole point of buy and paying more for Egyptian Cotton. And, I'm learning that 800 Thread Count makes for a much more dense sheet. Perhaps, that's the reason for the loss of softness. I've washed them twice and used extra dryer-sheets to little improvement. You Live & Y Learn.
