Cheap and mostly cheerful
This is a pretty basic budget mic stand. It's based on on the Anglepoise lamp design and it does the job, keeping the mic where you want it.It's a bit noisy in use, you can hear the springs but I think that's inherent in the design of this kind of stand. The desk clamp is ok, and can accommodate a desk thickness up to about 45mm which should be ample for most people. The biggest problem I had was mounting my mic's shock mount on it. The threaded boss is quite short, and screwed in too deep in the mounts threaded hole, into an unthreaded section. Also the boss itself seemed a bit undersized, and it's very difficult to tighten up the mic enough to stop it moving. To be fair, it may be the fault of the shock mount rather than the stand - but the shock mount is a well known brand. I managed to sort it out by wrapping the thread with tape. The anti pop shield is effective, but mounting on the stand is awkward, the clamp itself is very largeOverall it's ok for the money and does what it needs to, but I wouldn't want to pay much more for it.

Great stand - easy to install and works a treat.
Very lightweight and compact when on the desk. Will fit most mics, but you may need to buy an adapter for some. ( I am using the HyperX QuadCast and it fits right on ).Started squeaking a couple of days in, but was expected and nothing some WD40 wouldn’t fix.In conclusion, great stand and well worth the money they have it listed for.

Essential for those with an already cluttered desk
I needed this so much. I've got a tiny desk that's barely big enough to hold my laptop and extra monitor, and adding a microphone for podcasting just made things untenable, so bring on the boom. This model provides a decent range of motion, and feels quite smooth when you're moving the arm around, though I'll admit I don't need to move it around too much. As for the pop filter, the attachment for connecting that to the boom arm isn't the best designed, but it suffices - just. All in all this little boom arm does what I needed it to, and has made my life a lot easier.

Its ok
For that price, its ok. The green things that are meant to protect it came off as I had put it up and then after a bit, it fell off. Without the green things, it works well. I would recommend using a lighter mic as mine is quite heavy which ways it down however, for that price, it is good.

kamikaze mic stand
was good for a bit, then the pads on the clamp slid off causing my mic and the entire stand to fall on the floor. fixed it multiple times and it broke again each time. refund would be nice but my advice would be to splash out a bit more on a clamping stand to save your mic from falling to its death

Cheap but no that cheerful.
Its ok but not exactly robust. I was using it with a fairly standard condenser mic in a cradle and the mic stand doesn't really hold it up. It sags out of position all the time. The mic shield is fairly rubbish too. It won't hold position.

Seems ok
Did have an issue with it when I realised where would I put the clamp (my table has a nowhere to put the stand. Anyway, after moving some items around and finding the heaviest item in the house for the stand, it all connected together quickly and easily with my Samson / nest (though now has a few more scrapes on it than before). Noticed that the clamp wears away quickly if you re-clamp a few times and some of the other connections look a little frayed after a few too many turns and re-positionings. All in all, seems ok now with the microphone away from my main desk now (which was annoying) and the quality of the recordings a lot better (the key thing for me). Seems quite sturdy, has yet to crash or break etc and can't see any reason why it should.

A bit feeble
I have a heavy mic. I do not recommend this for large mics as it requires you to tighten the screws so hard your fingers go white!Made to a budget, probably good for small mics
