White Onion Sets, 60-80 Bulbs

I would buy them again. I have had a 100% success rate in taking root. I don't get that very much.

Antes de todo quiero dar las gracias por el servicio tan rápido de envío sin tener que pagar prime, segundo los bulbos llegaron super bien protegidos en una bolsa de papel y luego dentro de una cajita de cartón, tenía 2 años de no poder conseguir bulbos tan sanos y de buena calidad. Lamentablemente quise hacer otro pedido pero en menos de 48 horas ya habían subido de precio, es lo único que me desagrado qué subieran el costo tan rápido, por lo demás les doy 5 estrellas.

I planted these the day I received them. Planted them in my herb garden, perfect onion soil. To date, not one, yes, not one, has sprouted. Ten minutes ago I dug several to see what was happening. For some reason, not one, again, not one fresh root has appeared. I have been gardening the majority of my life, yes, dad had me in the garden before I was 6 years old. That was 70 years ago. Never has it taken this long to sprout roots. My guess is they may have been gassed to prevent sprouting. Only a guess.

All bulbs were in great shape. Only had a few that were soft. Started to grow in about a week. Planted in March. Gave some to a friend. Clean & healthy.

I am 76 and have been planting, growing and enjoying green onions for at least 50 years so I am reasonably experienced. I usually plant two or even three times a year and usually have fresh from the garden green onions for thanksgiving and even sometimes Christmas due to living in middle Tennessee. I have been buying from Starting Gardens for about 10 years and have been extremely pleased with their products. Unfortunately they were temporarily out when I ordered about a month ago so I ordered from the second supplier and paid three times as much. When I got them they were so plump and pretty I sent them a compliment. The bad news is that they have been in the ground for a little over three weeks and not a single one has germinated. I even randomly dup up six and there were absolutely no green sprouts on any of them. The “starting Gardens” brand has never failed me. With them you get to support a small business and they even follow up to see if you are completely satisfied. To me that is worth a lot. My goal here is not to slam another supplier but to keep others from having an experience like I did. I hope this was helpful!!,Jack Wilson

Great product….the onions were already coming out by the second day. I will purchase from them next year!!

I plant these in flower pots on my patio for green onions. I plant them very close together and pull the largest ones to allow smaller ones to have more room to grow. Always have green onions for my favorite Green Salad of lettuce, toasted sesame seed, toasted slivered almonds, chopped crispy bacon, green onions with an oil & vinegar dressing!
