I should’ve trusted the bad reviews but I thought it was people who weren’t experienced with fitting. I’ve been using mouth guards for several years now due to boxing and I like a good snug one, after using the shock doctor ones for a while I decided to give Opro a try because I’d heard some good things about their fits. I moulded it, achieved a decent fit although it was surprisingly quite big and hurt my top lip, I wore it once and it started to fall out during a round of sparring. Definetly won’t be using it anymore and going to try other brands.

Will not mould to stay in
Terrible, bought one for my 9 year old for rugby after his shockdoctor one had seen the end, tried a safe jawz first and that was just a similar version to this. Moulded but wouldn’t stay in his mouth, tried manually sculpting it but just won’t stay in. I’ve got an opro custom fit and it’s mega but not worth the 60 quid for a 9 year old who needs a new one every 6 months. Will go back to Shockdoctor for him, much better.

Buy at ur own risk
After following instructions exactly the mouthpiece does not stay on my teeth. It slides off as soon as I release pressure from by bottom teeth. It still works if I keep my teeth clenched so that it can’t slip off but this isn’t very practical for sparring. The company does not allow refunds either so it was a bit of a waste of my money. It is comfortable however so it is a shame that it doesn’t function properly.

Small fit but it adjusts
This is a smaller mouthguard than I am used to and because of this the initial fit wasn't great. With use the fit has adjusted and the holes at the front allow for saliva to escape compared to others I have used *apologies if that is too descriptive*

Rubbish
I’ve played rugby for over 25 years and have fitted many many gumshields myself over that time... the process is pretty much the same for all over the counter gumshields and I’ve never had trouble fitting one until now. Having had opro gumshield gutted by a dentist in the past I thought I’d give this one a go... Long story short after several failed attempts this gumshield is in the bin.

Basic product
The instructions for this product are incorrectYou need more that 20 seconds in the boiling waterI had to repeat 40 seconds at a time to get the mouth guard to fit the best I could not the greatestMouth guard I have purchased

Not great but does the job.
The gumshield is very nice aesthetically and it is thick and definitely defends blows very well, however aftyer fitting it is not moulded all that well and a bit too clunky in the mouth making it somewhat harder to breathe through. It also tends to slip out of my mouth a bit easily. Still for 9 euro though, not the worst.

Only up to age 10. Very small.
Wanted to return the item but was refused. The youth mouth guard is only up to age 10 which I didn't realise so this item was no use to me. Wanted to return for the adult one for my 12yo but wasn't able to.
