Not silent but becomes background noise

This is a great dehumidifier, small and quiet. we would certainly buy another for other parts of the house.

Came with minimal packing and was plugged in within minutes of unpacking, simple on/off switch on back with a plug in universal power lead, like it's smaller version it's pretty quiet when running, no louder than a fan or my desktop pc so I could have it on in room I was sleeping in or using but as it's in my spare room and entrance hall alternately it's light and easy to move. Impressed at removal rate of humidity which is very high here in France at the moment and the tiles in all my downstairs rooms were slick with water and the grouting gaps were full of water as well. 2 days running and as dry as a bone, very impressed and will probably buy a 3rd to cover all my rooms downstairs as they are less hassle than the chemical ones which cost 15 euro for 3 refills that last a month so these will pay for themselves after 4 months with no more chemical refills to buy.
