A Must to have for a Freddie's Fan
Even though there are lots of Freddie's photos and images you could find on the Internet, the photos collected in this book are just stunningly beautiful to look at. Freddie's charisma in full swing, not to mention some background stories of the events go with the pictures. I am so glad that I have this book at hand so that I could look at it/Freddie anytime I want. He is so missed.

INDEED HE WAS!
I simply and honestly LOVE all things Freddie Mercury - so I am excited and overjoyed that this is now apart of my F.M. Collection. the only item I will always regret not having in my collection is his original "Mr. Bad Guy" solo album!!! I've run across it several times while surfing - and alas, I could never afford it at today's prices! No matter, I am VERY pleased with what I have garnered in my collection. This is NOT one I would have passed up!

Good table Book
Had a few written pages then the rest was all pictures with a paragraph explaining the picture. I read through it in 2 days. Wish it had more to it. But for a fan it's a nice piece.

Freddie in all his Glory
This exciting big book presents Freddie Mercury in all his glory from the early days of that thick black mane to the buzz cut and everything in between. I've never seen anyone so beautiful... it doesn't seem possible he's been gone for 22 years... but the Legend does live and I worship at his feet.

Gorgeous book
I bought this for this year's Secret Santa giveaway of the Queen Breakfast Club. That's a group of 7 of us in Nashville who get together every month or so for breakfast at a local restaurant, or dinner at one of our houses, and talk about Queen, Queen-related matters, and some matters that are not at all related to Queen. This book is not only beautiful and substantial, with lots of terrific pictures and anecdotes spanning Freddie's very interesting early childhood all through his life and career, but it helped me nail my gifting responsibility for the QBC this year. It was an awesome present that came in right at the Club's monetary limit on such gifts and is a worthy volume in any QBC member's library. A male QBC member ended up with it but any of our female members would have been equally thrilled. So for unisex gifting purposes, this is a no-brainer. In sum, this book is a fine addition to the Queen canon and I believe I speak for the entire QBC when I recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in Queen.

FREDDIE!
I LOVE THIS BOOK!ANYONE WHO LOVES FREDDIE WILL LOVE THIS BEAUTIFUL BOOK!It is not just pictures there is a lot of info in here to read in the 1st part of the book. Yes some is pretty much in anything that is made about Freddie BUT there have been quite a few little things & fun facts that I didn't know. So I enjoyed that part of the book. Then it turns into all pictures w/ side notes of the info on the picture & that's pretty much it. BUT as I said if you love Freddie (& I am kinda obsessed) you will treasure this & I think it is actually at a really great price I would most defiantly have paid more! So you are getting a fantastic addition to your collection or if you are thinking of a gift for a your Freddie Freak Friend....This Is For You!

A Great Pretense
I am a long time Queen fan and I bought this book in the belief that it contained a lot of images that were newly published and from hard to find sources. This was certainly the impression given by the Official Queen website and their teaser video prior to the official release. When you get the book its big, it has a padded style cover and given the brilliant DVD that was also lauched recently as part of "the great pretender" package my expectations were high. After a few biographical pages you are looking at a pictorial run through Freddie's life but sadly these are mostly made up of previously available shots of Freddie and mostly promotional picutures and screenshots of videos which would have accompanied singles releases. If you have the fantastic Freddie Box Set that came out in the late 90's you have the best part of this book. As an earlier reviewer rightly said the contents have been covered before in publications like Queen's Greatest Pix etc.My advise - buy the Blu Ray or DVD and the Barcelona re-worked CD box set but give this a miss. The Queen cash machine is alive and well.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
This book was bigger then I expected which was a nice surprise so I've put it next to a normal size book to show the size.I have been after this for ages as its been out of stock a while. The pictures are beautiful and some I've never seen before. It's got baby pictures, family, some of his work from Art college and it's just wonderful. It also has a lot of text in which I wasn't expecting so I can't wait to read it. Highly recommend for any Freddie Mercury fan :)

Great Book
Let me first comment on the other reviews: This book is very similar to the book published on Freddie Mercury as part of the solo collection over 10 years ago. However, its not correct to review a product compared to other ones. Its important to mention it, but not all own that solo collection, and for those who don't, this book should be reviewed on its own.As for the book, this is a very large and very impressive book on Freddie Mercury. Contains mainly photographs of him, starting of his childhood, through Queen days and the solo days. Though the photos are not rare. But the quality of the book is very good, some of the photos are on double pages, some on one page.As mentioned already, this book is very similar to the one in Freddie Mercury Solo Collection (which contains also 12 discs) published over 10 years, and hard to find these days (even if you do, it will cost you a lot). If you own the solo collection, you might consider whether you should buy this book. You might be very disappointed that its almost the same book you already own. Pity that the publishers were not creative enough to add new material. For those who already own the solo collection, it's absolutely a rip off.If not, its highly recommended for anyone: either Freddie's fans or not. The book is not so expensive either. The book contains also a radio interview with Freddie on a CD inside of it (attached to the book).

Nice presentation, but little new or unseen
This book arrived today. Having looked through it, the presentation of the book is very good, the cover is a soft padded hardcover and looks impressive. The photos inside are all reproduced in good quality. The reason I have only awarded this 3 stars is if you are a Queen / Freddie fan and already have books such as Greatest Pics 1 and 2, Classic Queen, The Illustrated History etc, then you will have seen almost every photo in this book before. A handful were new, but not enough to justify a new book. So nice to have if your a big fan, but im not sure I will open it that often in the future.
