Works well on my older model
I have one of the older, clear plastic models, and this gasket works very well. It's nice and tight and doesn't leak like my old one had started doing. Some reviewers complain about it being too tight, but I don't find that to be the case. It's a firm fit, and that's what you want when you're dealing with device that you've just poured boiling water into.I would recommend this to anyone who's old gasket is starting to lose its seal.

Working great so far
If anything, it's a little tight... but that's mostly good. harder to plunge, yes - but no leaks! Good value. (and why does Amazon keep asking me to rate the "sheerness" of every product I review? A rubber bung should not be sheer, right??)

Inexpensive and fits perfectly
I have an old Aeropress - probably their original model from 10 or 15 years ago. I hadn't used it for quite awhile, and when I found it again (I had "put it away carefully," which is next to "lost" in my family's vocabulary) the rubber had deteriorated. This replacement was inexpensive and it shipped quickly. I replaced the failed original part and found that the new one works just fine.

Fits 10 year old Aeropress
I have an Aeropress from early 2014 whose plunger gasket became really loose over time. I have tried a few after market replacements but it seems that the dimensions of the seal has changed a bit since. Newer gaskets are slightly wider and less deep than the old one. This one worked great. Marking this 4 stars because the rubber is made of a lot cheaper material than the original. The finish is pretty course and is not as snug and tight. That being said, it's great value for the price.

Fits and works
I got this to replace the worn out original on my husband's aeropress (it shrank with all the use so he couldn't press properly). I actually fitted this new one onto the press and it went on grand and looked basically the same as the old one. Hubby says it isn't too hard for him to push down - he's a big dude though, so, these things may be relative, I haven't tried it myself since replacing it. Overall a good purchase for the price, and it works well. Will update my review if it doesn't last as long as the first one did (I think about 3 years).

Hard to press and gets harder over time
Works okay, but it is tight when new. As it has aged (2 years) it got a lot harder to press. It's best not to wash it with soap because the left over oils from the coffee help make it press easier. After washing, I had to put some cooking spray on it to make it slide easily. The EPDM rubber seems to be breaking down now (black stuff) so maybe that's why it doesn't slide easily. It's cheap and you get what you pay for.

Too tight for older Aeropress, but good fit for newer Aeropress
I have an older Aeropress (approx. 8 years old; clear brown smokey color) and this plunger end was too tight to plunge no matter how much force I applied. However, my dad has a newer Aeropress (approx. 4 years old; opaque gray color) and the plunger end fits perfectly on his Aeropress. I ended up switching plunger ends with my dad since this product worked better on his Aeropress. The product I received did not have a strong odor as other reviewers have complained about. It also takes a bit of effort to install the product. You might want to reconsider this purchase if you have and older Aeropress like me.

Works Good
Works good, hope it lasts and I may update later if any problems with it. So far, would recommend .
