Very comfortable and this thing is not coming out of my mouth unless I want it to. I practiced talking immediately and I felt it was clear. I play rugby as a prop, so I’ll be bangin heads a lot and definitely feel safe with and feel I can communicate easily with this product.Hint: when setting. Before you bite into the mouthpiece, make sure it’s center on your teeth. Preliminary impression = 1/5 stars.Note: I read the instructions multiple times and practiced fitting it a lot before actually fitting the mouthpiece. My results and impression are based on a genuine, thorough attempt at properly fitting this OPRO Power-Fit.The cage fitting system made me hope for a much better fit than many of the other boil-and-bite mouthguards I’ve used. Unfortunately, the result doesn’t seem to have been worth the time or price. The fit is such that my gums constantly ache when wearing it. I don’t know if it’s the fault of the cage system or not, but the upper part of the mouth guard pokes and digs into my upper gum. Additionally, the left lower section didn’t seem to have any of the white cushioning material the rest of the guard has after cooling. Clearly, some of this may have to do with my natural bite, but I’ve molded many cheaper boil-and-bites before and this more expensive Opro has yielded the worst results so far.Will update after sparring with it to see if it provides any advantage over something like Shock Doctor.

This mouthguard fits great when properly moulded. The mounding process is a little more complex than with other mouthguards. The fit is great. I'm not comfortable with the thickness though. This is NOT a mouthguard I would wear for combat sports involving punches and kicks. I will use this for jiu jitsu. This guard doesn't allow space between your bite for breathing. Once you bite down, your breathing is too restricted. You would have to open your mouth to breath efficiently. This is another reason I will not use this guard for MMA or boxing. I would recommend this for rugby, football, sleeping (for the teeth grinders) and basketball.

I lied. I actually bought the OPRO Power-Fit mouthguard to avoid biting my tongue off during jiu jitsu. I mean sometimes you get hit in the mouth, but only on occasion. This puppy was easy to mold, with great instructions for every step of the way. Formed to my teeth in less than a few minutes, and has kept up great during all my training. I like to chew on it between rounds, and it doesn't seem to be breaking down at all. Good stuff. I'll definitely but again in the future.

NEW: they changed something about their fitting technology and a new mouthguard I got to replace a lost one was messed up (I lose mouthguards a lot, so I'm not new to this). Waste of $35.OLD: This is the best mouthpiece I owned. I bought 5 different brands of mouth guards and this one was the best! I use it while sparring in BJJ, MMA, and mauy thai it has kept my teeth safe and hasn't wore out or come apart. It's extremely comfortable and it sticks to the top of my mouth very tight and I can talk freely without it getting in my way or falling out. I can close my mouth without having to struggle and breath freely. I fitted the mouth piece myself at home very simple and easy. It has protected my teeth from all kinds of hits from accidental knees, elbows, head buts to punches while sparring

The molding of the mouthpiece is extremely easy, just follow the instructions. I use this mouthpiece currently for rugby. I am a scrum half which requires me to call out plays in a way. I found the mouthpiece to fit very well within my mouth after molding it, and I am still able to make the calls I need to without it sounding jumbled. Once molded the mouthpiece fits perfectly on your teeth, and does not move around at all within your mouth. Highly recommend this mouthpiece for anyone participating in a contact sport!

Looks good, havnt had to try it out yet, havnt sparred lately. But one thing i would suggest for the price i would of loved if they included a dummy peice to practice the mold so you can get a good fitment. I felt a little clueless even though the instructions were pretty straight forward. And also a link from the company for a video instructions would be nice. I kinda feel like if you messed up on the boiling part and make a mistake you kinda skunk out an expensive mouth piece. Like it would not be good anymore if you need to remold it. Amazon gets 5 star for lightening fast shipping.

I was a bit worried about wasting £30 after reading some reviews here. Instead, the mouthguard was perfect at the first attempt. I followed precisely the instructions in the leaflet and the mouthguard is now quite tight and I can BREATHE and TALK easily! This is great. Last time I took two hooks on the jaw and seen that I couldn't breath my mouth was open, and it wasn't pleasant. With this mouthguard, I am sure it will be different. I still have to try it, but the fit is amazing, so good that sometimes it seems I cannot get it out. I would buy it again for sure, it is so nice to have the feeling nothing is there and you can breathe naturally. I don't know if it might help, but I did not insert the mouthguard fully in the black shield, I let it stay a bit out so that I could see it when mould it, so to be sure that I didn't bite the external shield. Everything was smooth and I didn't have to use my fingers to press the mouthguard against my gum. I just had to bite. Great!

We tried a range of OPRO mouthgurads, from the expensive OPRO professionally fitted to the cheaper self-fit.These Power Fit have the best and user friendly fitting of all the ones we've tried.The professional fitters arranged by OPRO visit you. Their aim is to use a soft putty to obtain a good cast of your gnashers. The putty is awful and makes a number of the kids gag and retch.The cheaper self-fit aren't as mouldable as this excellent Power Fit set. They tend to adhere more loosely to the teeth and gums and drop and/or move around if your jaws aren't clenched. Resulting in an often painful mandible post match.My Son's Advice:Read the instructions carefully. Watch the video. Have EVERYTHING ready. Only then, start the process.My ten year old son achieved an excellent fit on his own. Even though he messed the timer up a bit and then accidentally poked the soft 'fins' within the warmed mouth guard.Still, from all the ones we've used this one is the most comfortable and the internal area has a rubberised flexi-finish once the process is complete. This is so much more comfortably cushioning for the gumline.A definitive recommendation!

My teenage kids find Opro the best brand to wear playing rugby.They have used the silver version before and while they fitted well it was never perfect.This gum shield appears to be the same quality as the other opro ones but the power-fit one comes with a fitting cage that you place it in which shapes the gum shield around your teeth and gums simply by biting down on it instead of using your thumbs to shape. This makes fitting so much easier and more accurate.We will only be buying this version from now on.

Best mouthguard I have ever tried. It fitted perfectly and holds in my mouth so tight that I have to physically pull it out, which is great when I play hockey as it stays put throughout the match. I have purchased another one for my son and would definitely recommend it. I know it's more expensive than others but I've tried a number of the competitors and they don't fit or work nearly as well as these.

As a rugby player, I have to wear gumshields very often and I have never found one that is comfortable before. I'd often struggle with not gagging with them in. This gumshield has changed that! Going into uni, I felt that it was a good time to get a new one and I am very happy I did. It was easy to mould (even though it was a little more complicated than usual) and it fit perfectly. It was also comfortable and I didn't gag with it in. It has lasted the whole season (which was cut short due to coronavirus) and doesn't seem like its damaged at all!
