Raise & Bake - Round Sourdough Proving Basket - Large 10 Inch / 25cm Banneton (1000g of Dough) - Starter Kit for Baking & Proofing Artisan Bread

I have recently Re-started bread-making. I make dough in my Panasonic and then re-prove the dough on my AGA. To date, I have made small 1/2lb loaves and bread rolls.I was keen to try this and after a quick look at what was available opted for this kit.The basket is nice and sturdy and feels good quality. It come with a scraper, a bread scorer and a silicone pastry brush.I was disappointed there were no instructions for newbies like me, but a quick look at a YouTube video helped on that score.I can see from the reviews that rice flour needs to be dusted on the basket, but not having any, I opted for normal bread flour which worked fine.The dough I make uses 600g flour and the dough when removed from the bread machine filled approx. Half the basket. After the second proving the basket was completely full with a lovely rise to the dough.I tipped onto a baking sheet to bake, and was probably a little heavy handed as I was worried the dough would stick to the basket due to my dusting flour change, but no worries it tipped out smoothly, albeit with a thud as I was expecting problems.A short while baking later and the bread looks amazing!

Delighted with the round bread proving Banneton basket. It has proved extremely useful when making sourdough rye bread - ensures a good shape. The lame has been excellent for scoring the bread before being placed in the oven, the scraper is a most useful tool, the measuring spoons will come in very handy and I am pleased with the liner. An overall good starter set. One very pleased customer.

It is a fine product, you get what you pay for! I thought the brash would be bigger but it does the job! The basket is quite nice.

This is a perfect starter set for baking your own bread that includes everything you'll need and so really is good value for money. The banneton seems sturdy enough to be used for many years of happy baking.I had to contact the supplier with regard to changing the delivery address and I have to say he was extremely obliging and went far beyond anything I expected from him.Would I buy from this supplier again? . . . Absolutely without hesitation!

I’m new to bread making like so many others in this pandemic and this is a good, easy to use proving basket. It came with the measuring spoons, the scraper and lame all of which work very well. I’ve managed to make some lovely sourdough boules using this.What was exceptional was the wonderful customer service I received. It said the dispatch time was three weeks and so I sent a message asking if that was really the case as I was hoping to get a basket rather sooner. Jason replies saying there was a delay because of covid but that he’d send me one of his own baskets which he did. It was with me in just over a week, in perfect condition and I am extremely grateful.

This is a good value pack, with a useful selection of accessories, so you'll have almost everything you need to get started baking - though perhaps some larger sizes of measuring cup would be more useful, depending on what you have already.The basket should easily hold a loaf made with 1kg of flour - the one pictured was made with 750g, so it you want to make family sized loaves, this is perfect

The sales picture of this product makes it appear to be better quality than it actually is. Had I seen it in the flesh I don’t think I would have bought it as both basket and tools are very basic and of a low standard.

I found it to be a lot bigger than it shows in the pictures, and because I don't understand imperial measurements very well I wasn't sure of it's size amd thought it'd be a small round banneton like the one I had before. Luckily it's of a similar size to the ceramic pan I bought as well for bread baking. The lame was rubbish, it rusted straight away so it's gone to the bin. The other accessories are nice and useful.
