SKB ATA 24 Cymbal Vault with Handle and Wheels

I bought this case because I was playing a show where I needed to fly & bring gear. I didn’t want to fly with my soft case so I bought this. So glad I did! Very sturdy. Protective mats included to place between cymbals. The tightening washer that keeps the cymbals in place is perfect! The luggage attachment was also very key for transport.I would highly recommend.

After about 15 years of touring my old fabric cymbal bag needed retirement. I purchased this cymbal vault to replace as well as compliment my other SKB drum road cases. Thus is so muck easier lacking and unpacking as well as being able to roll.

This is the best cymbal case I’ve ever purchased.

I've read the other reviews, so I have to note a couple things to start:*All of my cymbals have bells (Zildjian K Custom Hybrids)*I carry 3 cymbals and two hats*I haven't noticed any undue pressure on the bells where I have to screw them in, but I leave the case to lay flat in my car or my apartment all of the time.I'm a big fan of this cymbal case. For starters, my drum teacher has this case and is a pro who tours around the world. I think he's had this case for the last 13 years and it's still in good condition. So I followed in his foot steps and bought it. I know it's more expensive than a lot of other cases out there, but here's what makes it worth it:*Lifetime warranty--who can beat that?*It's got wheels! I much prefer to roll around all of my hardware than carry it.*It has extra pockets where I keep my moon gels, felts, etc.*I can throw anything on top of this case in my car, and I know FOR SURE that my cymbals will not be damaged.I mean, it does what it is supposed to do--keep my cymbals safe. I can't really ask for more than that.

Awesome cymbal vault - great for travel. My only wish with this is that there was some sort of way to latch down the cover on the sides, there is a generous gap the makes me nervous when I hand over $2000 + worth of cymbals to baggage handlers and TSA agents to do whatever they want with. So far no damaged cymbals or pilfering, but they open and inspect behind the scenes every time, and when checking in agents are always puzzled and ask "what is THIS?!?". Even when I explain that it contains cymbals, I have to pantomime playing drums for them until they understand the contents.

Claims to fit 7 cymbals, but only comes with four pads. Doesn't have any latches and is held closed by a strap of webbing. The pull handle can collapse in, which I like. The whole case is sturdy and I trust it to protect my investment when I travel. I just hope TSA closes it properly... We'll see.Update: I've now had it for 5+ years, and it has held up extremely well. I travel, and this case can handle my crazy life. I store my crash, ride, and hi hat. I made extra pads out of high-pile fleece, and I can fit up to 7 cymbals in the case as the original product description says.

The handle and wheels make this a lot easier to lug around shows, although be careful about stuffing it too full with symbols. After a few months of use, the plastic shell won't clasp the whole way, and is pretty much secured by the belt that goes vertically down the cymbal vault. That being said, it's staying closed pretty well with the belt, as long as I keep an eye out that nothing slips through the crack. A pretty decent value, although I had to knock points for it not being entirely durable.

This case is solid, but I've had it come back from baggage with the cover wedged down into the case. This is a definite weakness in the case when laid down flat with weight on top of it. Just something to be aware of. Other than that, you'll find classic SKB durability and handy design features. I love the pull out handle. The wheels have held up nicely so far. Overall a solid Cymbal Vault.

Me parece muy sólido y resistente, protege mucho mejor que una funda, pude acomodar 1 ride, 3 crash, 2 contras y 1 splash, lo compré porque me di cuenta que mi ride de 23" no cabía en la mayoría de las fundas o maletas para platillos, el único inconveniente es la incompatibilidad con los chinas, bells o cualquier plato que no tenga la forma convencional.

Excelente producto solo que estaría mejor si tuviera un compartimento para guardar la llave de afinación, moongels, etc.

A good solid case. A second strap running horizontally would be all it would take for this to get 5 stars.
