Red Onion for Hair Oil has trended a lot and that's because it's really good for hair health. My mom prepares hair oil at home using Coconut Oil, Curry leaves, Red Onion mostly small shallots, Hibiscus flower, Amla, Almonds and few other herbs and flowers, but the oil made at home never came consistent with viscosity and smell.}-- The oil came in a plastic bottle with a press type pump model cap. Did not have any tamper proof seal except for a fully covered plastic wrap.}-- When using any oil, the first important factor to consider is whether the oil is Paraben and Sulphate free and only few brands have such Paraben and Sulphate free oil and other hair product. This Aspiiro Natural Red Onion Hari oil is Paraben, Mineral oil and Sulphate free.}-- The base is Coconut Oil and as per the pack the other major ingredients are Red Onion, Hibiscus flower, Amla, Bhringaraj, Castor Oil, Argan Oil Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil, Mango and Shea butter (for hydration and smoothness), Sandalwood and Rose Oil (for smell) and few others. Isoamyl laurate as the only unnatural ingredient and this ingredient has no hazards (if in doubt google it) and has been used by several brands for conditioning skin and hair.}-- The smell is mild and not pungent like i thought as the rose and sandalwood essential oil has reduced the smell of red onion. The packs says it's a blend of 18 essential oil but not all 18 are mentioned.}-- The oil is not too thick nor too light but is a little sticky so i wear this oil only when am indoors and leave it on only for 1 hour.}-- The color is wine red and small handful of oil would be enough for short hair. Ensure that the oil is massaged on the scalp and not applied just over the hair. I used this oil 1 hour before bathing though the package says for best results you need to apply it overnight and rinse with shampoo in the morning.}-- Coming to the USP of this oil, it has definitely controlled dandruff for me. I have also used another brand of red onion oil which was also good, and looks like all red onion hair oil is good for dandruff control. I use this oil twice in a week of if I feel my scalp feel itchy because of pollution. Hair also feels hydrated and never got dry and i hope this hair oil will also prevents hair loss and breakage due to drying. But i need to try for a month or two to get best results.}-- This oil does not cause any intense cooling like the menthol or camphor based oil. I have a sinus trouble, but I didn't catch a cold with this oil left on the head for 1 hour. So I guess it's might be safe for people with sinus trouble like me.}-- Red Onion Nourishes hair follicles, is rich in Sulphur which helps to minimize thinning of hair and breakage, can improve blood circulation when applied on scalp which in-turn helps hair growth, prevents dandruff and lice, has antibacterial properties which also fights infections on scalp thereby reducing hair fall, helps in hair density and shine, helps in preventing premature graying of hair due to its antioxidant properties.>> Mild smell, perfect viscosity and it's healthy ingredients makes it a good choice, only concern is the oil is also a bit sticky so use it at home. Overall an good red onion based hair oil.
