I am in love with these poems
I have never purchased a book of poetry before. I am in love with these poems. It is heartbreaking to know that this volume is so short, and that it will most likely be over in a sitting or two; however, as I read these poems, it feels like an introduction to a friendship that I will visit again and again and again as time passes. These poems are contemporary, profound, and personal. This book will teach you about life; this book will teach you about who you are; this book will teach you how to be a better you. Buy it now. You won't regret it.

Ridiculously misrepresented - barely more than a pamphlet!
This book is super threadbare and skinny/small to begin with - but I've bought poetry books like that before. What I find absolutely ridiculous is that it says there are 96 pages; in actual numbered pages there are only 77...and of those 26 are blank!!! That's not even counting the ones that have writing on 1/3 of the page. So at best you're getting 50 pages of writing. Thanks but no thanks; might as well just printout the poems I like from the internet. Waste of money and totally inaccurate description; sending them back!

My first...
This was my introduction into the writings of Mary Oliver. I heard many of the messages in my own voice as if I had lived the life of the poet. If you are touched by nature, you will be touched by these verses.

Simply Beautiful Poetry
Oliver - Simple and profound. Good book for daily meditation. I find Mary Oliver's poems immediately accessible and yet they also provide food for thought.

Maybe because I just finished Love Her Wild which was fun to read
While I couldn’t warm to most of the poetry in this little book, there were a couple that were ok. Somewhat lackluster and..yawn. Maybe because I just finished Love Her Wild which was fun to read.

Beautiful
I haven't yet got far into this book but what a treasure, such connections. If I wake in the middle of the night, I read one of these pieces and am soothed back to sleep pondering it.

Wonderful poetry
Often funny, always thought provoking. I don't read much poetry but I am very glad to have found out about Mary Oliver. She died recently but her voice can still be heard.

Times of sheer delight
I loved this book by Mary Oliver. I read one poem each morning as part of my prayer. Almost all of the poems spoke to me. The longer I spent with them the more they reached some deep place within me and helped me to to be present, alert and aware of the wonder of nature
