Nice, if you can get an undented one
I have never owned a breadbox before.I decided it would be nice to have one, to reduce my counter clutter in the kitchen. This one looked nice and was in my price range.I saw several reviews mention it arrived dented, but I've previously had good luck with shipping. It arrived with the outer and inner box intact and in fine shape.Unfortunately, the way it was shipped was with these layers:Regular Amazon cardboard boxThin cardboard retail box (with some of the inflated bags at one end to fill void. 5 faces of the box were directly touching the outer box)Plastic bagBreadboxThis breadbox is thin metal. It's thicker than a pop can, but not by a lot. A little stronger.Mine had a couple minor dents on the bottom. Not a big deal. It sat flat and didn't rock. That was fine.Unfortunately, it also had a dent on the front, curved lid.Right where you see your reflection at. Which is now a distorted reflection.Due to the way it was packed, and the somewhat delicate metal, one could easily dent it like this through both layers of cardboard, with one finger.I returned it for a refund, exchange/replacement was not one of the available options.I just went to my order history and did the return process, UPS came with a call tag and took it.So at least it was quick and easy. The breadbox was nice, and seemed like it would hold up to daily use. The price is pretty good too.I'm still debating if I want to gamble on ordering another one, or just looking locally. If I found it locally at this price, I would get one. If I don't find one, I may optimistically order another one of these. But I've found that when Amazon ships things poorly packed, they tend to do it the exact same way every time.I don't like dealing with returns, even when they're easy.

Good Quality Bread Box
This bread box is one of the better quality stainless steel bread boxes I've seen so far. It is made of a heavier gauge stainless steel compared to the other look alike paper thin sheet of stainless steel that gets damaged and bend so easily. It arrived in perfect condition from amazon. The shipping box was packed well so it survived the trip from the warehouse to my house. There are other brands of bread boxes out there that looks identical to this one and one might think that they are the same. In my experience, they are not the same. This particular brand is Prime Pacific and this is the one with the thicker, higher quality stainless steel. The same can not be said with the other brands that looks identical on the product picture. I've had a few bad experiences ordering bread boxes from another online store. The bread box arrived damaged as the shipping box had no protection of any sort at all. Also, the bread box was of poor quality and had very thin stainless steel construction. It happened to me twice! So I decided to order from amazon for an identical looking bread box but with a different brand name and finally, I got a good one and a very good one for that matter. I gave this one as one of my wife's Christmas presents. She was very happy with it as she had been wanting a new one for a while now. I'm happy too!

nice breadbox
I wasn't overly impressed but this is still a good buy. There's not that many holes in the back though, so if your kitchen is hot I would make sure and check the contents every day or so. I left a loaf in the closed box for 3 days and it was green when I pulled it out. Since then I've made a habit of checking it every 2-3 days and can catch it before the bread spoils. This has been a hotter than ever summer though - I think it works better in cooler temps. It's large enough for a loaf of sourdough plus some rolls and bisquits. It's very nice looking and seems well built - I think there should be a lot more holes in the back for air flow though.

Great product for the price
I have to say that I find the bad reviews of this bread box slightly amusing. You are paying 25 bucks for it not 75-100 so for the money this is fantastic. I would not recommend constructing a battle shield out of it for slaying dragons but I'm just planning on putting it on my counter for bread storage so I should be all set! There was zero damage from shipping. Looks great in my kitchen and matches our stainless appliances quite nicely. I'll write again if it gets all banged up and damaged somehow like others have described and eat my words. But I honestly think it's going to work out just fine and would recommend the purchase to those that are just using as a breadbox. :)

Stylish
This is an attractive addition to my kitchen. When I first opened the box, I was surprised at how light this was and I wasconcerned that it would dent before I could put it on the counter! Managed to get it washed and dried without any damage. It appears very fragile, but, once situated wherever it is going to be placed, the brushed stainless steel looks very modern and it holdsa couple of loaves of bread plus a package or two of english muffins or bagels. It meets all my requirements - just the rightsize, looks good, holds the requisite amount of bread, rolls, etc., was purchased at a good price, and is a good valuefor the money. I think that if handled gently, this breadbox should last for a long time.

Attractive, simple, good value
I needed a cheap stainless steel bread box and this one fit the bill nicely. It's simple and looks nice on the counter although the stainless steel is light (feels like aluminum) and will probably dent easily if dropped. The cover opens smoothly and the inside space appears to be well-ventilated. There seems to be enough space for one complete loaf of bread and a bag of bagels or muffins. The only real downside is the weight of this box. If only it felt a little more durable...

I need a good size bread box as my bread was in a ...
I need a good size bread box as my bread was in a stainless steel wire basket and it got annoying to see it filled up all the time on the shelf that is above my oven. This hides all the bread, keeps it fresher longer and looks nice. It's not a high quality stainless steel but serves it's purpose and that's a good deal!
