Yummy!
This is a little bit mild for my spicy tastes but there is something about the taste beyond the spicy-ness that makes it a must in some dishes. I like using it a LOT in sandwiches with mayo and Harissa. Sometimes it is just the right touch with other foods that are rather blah. Using this Harissa fills in so many gaps, it is a must.

Lacks Flavor or Spice - Doesn't Taste Like Harissa to Me
Picked this up from my local store and was sorely disappointed. It tasted like concentrated salt, no real flavor and lacked spice and heat. I'd recommend skipping this one.My current favorite harissa is made by Cava Mezze. When I can't find the Cava Harissa, I find that Mina Spicy Harissa is my go to back-up.

texture threw me off
Too many tough skins. Not enough heat. Nice mild flavor but couldn't get past the texture. I've had better

Harissa missa
I have tried three brands of harissa and I would rate this one middle of the pack.Mustapha's brand is the gold standard for me, very spicy and exotic, made with spices and preserved lemons, but I have not been able to bring myself to pay the current price of $11 a jar. (Please, Amazon, find a three-jar discount price.)Mina brand, which gets good reviews here and elsewhere, I find bland, in part because it is made with vinegar instead of preserved lemons, and because it is less spicy.Mediterranean Gourmet I would put in-between, spicier then Mina but still lacking the exotic flavor of Mustapha's. The product page mentions preserved lemons but they aren't listed on the jar ingredients and it tastes more like vinegar is used. If you like Mina's, you'll probably like this. If you're a Mustapha's fan, this one might leave you disappointed.

Wanted to try some Moroccan dishes in my tagine & this spice is recommended in those types of cooking. A bit spicy, but I like the kick it adds.

Does NOT taste like harissa. The flavor was not only disappointing but literally un-edilbe. I had to throw this product away. If you can find Mustaphas Harissa I HIGHLY recommend you try their product.
