Hunter knee boot for petites!
I love the fact these are made for shorter legs. The shaft is significantly shorter than the Hunter Tall ... but Huntress boot still fits the same. Goes up to under my knee. Great fit for petite legs. Not tight around my calves either. Have wiggle room. Can’t wait for a rain day so I can wear them ❤️

Great for short ladies
I’m 5’1”. The original talls hit right in the middle of my knee. This boot is the perfect height for me and still gives that long lean look I wanted. The additional calf circumference allowed for my athletic calves. I can wear these boots comfortably with leggings or jeans. I wear a 5.5 and ordered the 5 and they are a great fit. I was disappointed these boots didn’t come in the gloss finish, but once they arrived, I truly love the look of these boots. They have more of a satin finish than a matte. Give these boots a try if you are a shorter lady.

Love these!
These boots are great! I am on the petite side, with muscular calves, and these fit perfect! Normal Hunter boots hit right at my kneecap, and create a suction around my legs making them incredibly difficult to get off. These, not a problem! And they sit about 2" below my knee. Dark olive is a gorgeous color, which I have paired up with the greige fleece liners. I read reviews that said they wouldn't work in Huntress boots, but they work just fine if you ask me. A+ purchase. If you're on the fence about getting these boots, do it.

Don’t size down like other reviewers suggested!
I normally wear a 6.5, so I sized down and ordered a 6 based on all the other reviews. I really wish that I hadn’t, they’re very snug & uncomfortable! I also don’t think that the opening measurement provided is accurate. It was supposedly 15.5” around & I measured the widest part of my calf to be about 14.5, but there’s no wiggle room in the calf for me. I ordered these to be functional in the garden, and after 1 wear they had rubbed blisters on my shins b/c they’re so stiff. I really wish that I had exchanged them right away, but I had yard projects to do, so I didn’t bother. They look cute enough & are a good price for Hunter’s, but I really wish I’d gone with a 7 :(

Please measure yourself first if you've got large calves!
I read others' reviews without even thinking to measure my own calves and compare it to the boot measurements! With that said, I have ridiculously large calves, and I underestimated them. I read that these boots were great for the lady with the thicker legs... to be fair I have gained some weight... and if this diet actually works out I will hopefully fit in them once I'm through, but having two kids has really done a number on my legs! (the pregnancy "swelling" never really went down for me) REGARDLESS of this, I am still giving a 5 star review... I don't believe any normal person has 16"+ around calves LOL I am able to get them on to say that they are very comfortable to wear on the feet, and I agree with the other reviews that you should size down! I am normally an 8.5-9, I went with a size 8 and they're perfect, with even a bit of wiggle room. They're also a little bit of a lighter green than what the stock photo looks like, which I was hoping for! Great boots, that hopefully don't stay on the shelf because I love them!

Perfect for petite girls
I’m 5’2 with athletic calves and these fit great! Perfect height and plenty of room in the calves. They look great on! I normally wear shoes size 6.5, so I ordered a size 6 in these. Still really big. But I’ll just wear extra thick socks this fall/winter and it should be fine. I’m very happy with my first pair of Hunter boots! Glad I did the research to learn which style works best for my body type.

My new fav, after going through many rain boots
Finally found my fav hunter boots. Wider calf, dark olive color (tired of black, dark olive goes with everything too), plain label (not the trendy Hunter label, this one is classier), flexible material, comfortable.... my new fav. I sold all my other rain boots - had a pair of le chameau as well. Love these huntress boots. I’ll be wearing these on our farm and out for years. Thx!

Properly fits calves of short legs and looks awesome
I can’t say enough good about these boots! I have short legs and my calves are “fit”- I’m not saying fat bc they’re aren’t. It’s just the whole short leg thing complicates it for me bc normal tall boots are just too tall- and they end up being too tight around the calf. It’s annoying!! But these field boots totally worked! And there is no large gap around the calf. It’s perfect. Lovely room for the entire foot, too. Can use heavy socks with ease. And as for the matte green color choice- I must admit I stole the idea from watching The Crown and seeing Diana wearing them while she was on her visit to her not yet hubby’s family estate on Scotland. It’s nice to pair up with Lady Di like this through the Hunter green boots. Get these, and feel royal. Feel happy about the size and fit! I normally wear an 8.5 but ordered 8 in the boot- brilliant decision. Cheers to all the short- legged gals out there who wanna still wear a boot that will hit high enough up on the calf- ans actually fit the dang calf without feeling like a vacuum has suctioned your leg off when you take them off, and enjoy much comfort like the princess you KNOW you are!

Good fit for larger calves
I love Hunter boots as they feel so well made and go on forever, however in common with many women I have strong, well developed calves this means that I cannot get into the standard Hunter boots they sit dissapointingly wrinkled around the ankles so the Huntress with adjustable side buckles and extra rubber / fabric inserts at calf level take away this issue. They are still snug and take a certain amount of grunting and groaning to get off but now they look good too.

Way too big and flimsy
I ordered a size 6 which is my normal size. However, these were way too big and very baggy around the calves and ankles. They would not have given any support at all while out walking. I have returned them but it cost over £12 to send them back. I could buy some other wellies for that price-won't be ordering any online again!!!

Grand Wellies
Really good just what I expected. Great wellies and fab company to deal with. Would use again

Horrible thin material
How the mighty have fallen. Horrible thin material. One thicker than the other.I've been using Hunters for many years. These are dreadful. An insult to the once good name. Never again.

Great fit, I’m a 5 but upsized to 6 ...
Great fit, I’m a 5 but upsized to 6 to allow for thicker sock. Wide calf as stated so not for skinny legs
