Works as it intended!

So, the brakeline works perfectly thus far - 3 trail rides of 8+ miles and 2 full days riding Lift-Access Park terrain (jumps, bumps, the whole 9 yards).I'm giving this 5 stars based on it being less than 1/2 the price of the Shimano cable. However, the banjo doesn't appear to be metal like Shimano brand, and it does seem slightly more brittle. But, since it's half the cost and works thus far, I can't see giving it fewer stars.

Would have preferred the shimano hose but this was way cheaper

And more than enough for an XL frame

Saw some horrible reviews about this but rolled the dice anyway because it's less than half the price of Shimano housing. I'm a few hundred miles in on using this and it did not spontaneously combust like some here might lead you to believe. Time will tell but it has given me plenty of confidence thus far. What else can I say? It works

First hose lasted about 8 months, until it somehow split near the cable guides on my fork. I suspect it was crushed on an awkward fall. Replacement hose was defective. The banjo fitting was improperly crimped on, so the hose leaked where it goes into the banjo and contaminated my pads after 30 mins of riding.

Would buy Shimano if available, but during the Great Bike Parts Drought of '20-21, this works just fine.

I purchased this cable to replace my original shimano XT rear brake cable and it looks, feels and installed the same. No issue at all. I got it in 3 days and paid less that at the bike shop.
