FIRST IMPRESSIONS - no bells or whistles but very solid performance.
Note that Keiron sells two models of targets. This one is the cheaper and simpler of the two. The "speed" version has a built in shot timer. THe device is very lightweight. Feels like an empty plastic box. Honestly it felt kinda "cheap" right out of the box. The controls are very rudimentary. On/Off and audio enable/disable. The size is nice in my opinion. It's big enough for practice from across a large room. You can always down-size the target by just taping a cardboard (or similar) shroud on the front. The device seems to work well. It detected all hits, and no abnormal double hits. It detected laser shots even from very shallow shot angles (less than 20 degrees), not just straight-on shots. That said, this device has very limited functions. You hit it and it flashes red (and beeps) to confirm a hit. That's pretty much it. It won't tell you where your hit landed, just somewhere within the rectangular sensor. You can get far more sophisticated laser targets at a similar price from Accelerated Firearms Training that have a great associated phone app. If so, what does this Keiron device do to make it worthwhile?Different laser targets have different requirements. Some like the LASR camera/computer based systems detect red, green, and infrared laser pulses. It's a nice, versatile system but it's more complex, takes more time to setup, and is a "flat range" type setup. You and the camera have to face the targets. The LASR system has very limited capacity for a more realistic 360 degree scenario, and multi-room scenarios are out of the question. By contrast, the small stand alone targets like this Keiron and others offer tremendous versatility. You can set up scenarios in a 360 degree environment or in multiple rooms in just a minute or two - and change them up in a flash.Unfortunately, these smaller stand alone targets tend to be restrictive in the lasers they can detect. The exception is the Atlas 8 (salted earth company). The Atlas works indoors, outdoors, and recognizes all the types of lasers (red, green, infrared and even blue -- but does not recognize any of the Coolfire lasers). It's the "Cadillac" laser target but it's extremely expensive....10x the cost of this Keiron. Others, like the Accelerated Firearms device is much more affordable and responds very well to green laser, but only recognizes some of the red lasers, and no infrared. I use the CoolFire recoil training kit in my Shield 9mm. It uses a relatively high wavelength red laser of low "intensity" that some targets just wont reliably recognize. That coupled with the recoil laser beam movement creates problems for most laser targets. This Keiron target consistently detects the CoolFire at short and long indoor distances. It also works for infrared laser, but no go for green laser. So, for certain equipment setups this Keiron seems to work well (red or infrared laser, recoil or not). By contrast, If I were shooting a green laser, I'd strongly recommend the Accelerated Firearms targets for the greater versatility and functionality those targets offer. Obviously if you have very deep pockets, the Atlas 8 is the way to go for all lasers EXCEPT Coolfire. We'll have to see if this Keiron device holds up to time and frequent use, but for my Coolfire and infrared dryfire training pistols, it s a first-impression thumbs up.Update: Ever buy something with tons of bells and whistle functions only to find out none of it really works? That's not this device. I upgraded my rating from 4 stars to 5. This target doesn't have bells or whistles, but it just works. It responds to every hit, even when pulling the trigger as fast I possible. It even works in total darkness, using a flashlight for guidance (it did not respond to the flashlight, but did to the infrared laser). Outside on a very cloudy day it responded to as far away as 60 feet (SIRT infrared laser). It's not designed for outdoor use, but I couldn't resist. [note: if you keep the sturdy cardboard box it comes in, you can use it to help shade the target if you use it outdoors]. I couldn't get it to register hits at longer distance outside, but it might have been me just missing. As best I can tell, every bit of the red surface will accurately detect a hit. As just a spot on the wall to shoot at, this is just "meh". But if you want to set up 360 degree scenarios, or your own custom "shoot house", this device seems to be fabulous. Simple but really works well. Want to practice room clearing? (probably a bit advanced for civilians.......but), Just have someone hide a few of these around the house and start the drill. Want to practice at different angles and distance with multiple "assailants"? These devices are the ticket. My very first impression was these targets were just good, but with a little more use, I'm rating it way better than just good. Not cheap, but way cheaper than most of the good alternatives.

Quick draw drills.
I love to shoot. After the first mag at the range (I go one 18 months the past few years) I have pretty tight grouping. That’s not gonna cut it in a real life situation.First, i won’t have time to stance and aim like I do at the range.Muscle memory is everything and since I’m not independently wealthy yet, It was suggested from LEO to do some dry fire drills (and more frequent range time).10 minutes out of the box with laser snap cap and while this is not the greatest quality box, it will suit my purposes perfectly. Enjoying quick draw and shoot drills. Something the range won’t allow.

Keiron Reactive Target System
Very impressed with the Keiron Reactive Target System when paired with Pink Rhino's 9mm Laser Training Cartridge and my 92F Beretta. The system provides excellent inexpensive (under $100.00 total) and convient indoor dryfire laser practice for fraction of cost of live fire or other higher end systems. While basic target is no frills with just on off and audio it works great providing solid feed back on one's ability to quickly and acurately place rounds on target. Practiced 30 minute straight with zero issues. So fun and intuitive wife and daughter wanted to shoot multiple rounds as well. Two thumbs up.

Great practice tool
This is a great dry fire practice target. Yes, it is a little pricy for what it is but it works very well, much better than many other laser targets, many of which fail to register hits on a regular basis. My only gripe, and a minor gripe at that, would be the speaker could be a little louder.

Simple. Meets Expectation. Works.
It is simple and it works. It auto shuts down after inactivity but not so soon as to interfere with training... The area is pretty large. I don't know what the full range is exactly but the large area would be good for longer distances. You may want to cover it up a bit for close-range indoor practice

Get this for your dryfire practice!
This is a simple but effective way to practice your skills. The price is right and the simplicity in it's form factor makes it a very practical addition to enhancing your skills without the expense of large amounts of money at the range.

It works
Only complaint is the sound is very low.

Great dry fire tool
Great little product for dry fire practice. I would have given this five stars except it is way overpriced for what you get.
