Fujitsu fi-6110 Sheet-Fed Desktop Scanner (PA03607-B005)

We bought one to scan forms into an EMR system. The scanner makes high-quality scans, double-sided, and does so quickly. Though we don't scan whole charts, this machine certainly could make that task easier, too. You can feed stacks of forms.It comes with a reinforced sheet with a clear cover so you can scan small items or flimsy thermal-print forms.Two more comments:-This version, while well-tested and known to be reliable, is an older model that uses a CC for illumination. As such, the CC contains mercury and requires special disposal at end of life. A newer, fancier version of this scanner uses LEDs, but it also retails for about $1K!-We bought our first fi-6110 from an Amazon vendor. The second one, purchased through NEW EGG, was considerably cheaper, with a much lower shipping fee (and we got it in two days, vs the Amazon vendors ground shipping for about twice as much money).

Outstanding customer service and an easy to use dependable machine. We recently updated our computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and had to contact customer service. We thought they might tell us we need a new scanner, but instead, they helped us re-connect and it works perfectly. Our IT guy said this is the best customer service he has ever worked with.

We use these at my work and they have performed flawlessly. I bought a bulletscan S300 for home use a few years back based on lower price and excellent reviews. When it quit feeding, tried to contact product support. It is non-existent - even to tell me where I could purchase parts. I recently replaced it with a used fi-6110. It is faster with far fewer multiple page pulls. I would recommend downloading the newest software from Fujitsu. So far I have only used it for document scanning so I don't know how photo scanning would be but highly recommend for quality, reliability and speed.

I purchased this to replace a 13 year old fi-5110c. Cost only a few dollars more to buy the 6110 used than it would have to repair the 13 year old scanner. This one is faster and the scans are higher quality, not surprising considering advanced in technology over the years. Used at a small home office, not heavy duty, but well worth the cost. I don't keep paper copies of anything.... taxes, insurance documents, real estate paperwork, all gets scanned and shredded and this make that possible. I have friend and relatives with multi-purpose printer/scanners and they don't hold a candle to this device. Based on owning two of these over the years, I highly recommend this one. Host system is Windows 8.1 using ISIS drivers with QuickScan Pro v4.6 from EMC2.

The scanner works as stated. It does duplex and is pretty quick. Pretty much any scanning software seems to be able to work with this scanner. I use the included Scansnap software because I just need to create a digital copy of my files to save. The only thing I think could be improved is making it easier to set the Scansnap program to load at start up. Was able to create shortcut to the executable file in my startup menu, but this was a little tedious. It'd be nicer for general users if you could open the software and click a button that says "start when computer starts." Overall I think this is a very good scanner and it does everything I need it do quickly.

Fujitsu scanners make accounting and record keeping easy and fast. The fi6110, a new version and the earlier S1500 are both excellent. I use the S1500 at home and recently added the fi6110 in my office. I find the 1500 to be a bit faster. Data and other records are secure, easily backed up, and can be copied, printed, moved or sent from your computer. So far I have emptied several drawers of paper files, and counting.. Surprisingly fast. The first time I scanned, I thought it just failed and shot the paper through without a scan. A second later, the can showed up on my monitor. Now I wonder why bed scanners are so slow. Four stars because I am slightly confused by all the settings/options/filing system, but have worked out my little routines that I stick to. The performance as a scanner is outstanding!

This one piece of equipment saves me hours of work!! It is compatible with the RISLinQ program so now instead of scanning a copy of a document to my computer, saving it to my hard drive and then uploading it to RISLinQ and saving it to that program and deleting it from my computer to keep from slowing down my system with documents I do not need; now I simply scan it directly to the program I need it saved to and go on my marry little way! :)One Satisfied Customer!!
