Didn't work and software messed with laptop!
I didn't realise software had to be installed to use this device, but okay, I installed the driver using the CD. Screen resolution on my laptop changed, but thought it was just because I had connected it to an external screen. I couldn't get any picture on my external screen and when I removed the device, the resolution didn't change back. It wasn't possible to change it in the control panel.I went to the manufacturer's website and downloaded the latest version of the driver, but had exactly the same result. No output and screen resolution all over the place. I uninstalled the driver, still no fix.In the end, I had to get an IT company to fix the issue. I can't remember the exact fix, but it was something like reinstalling the graphics driver that was originally on the PC because this new software had messed it up. Not happy, several hours wasted and a bill from IT.Laptop was using Windows 7 Pro on a 64 bit system

Simply didn’t work on any of our HP, Dell, Lenovo or Apple laptops.

Overall, great service and fast delivery.
I purchased this adapter as a replacement for my previous USB to HDMI cable. Straight away I could see the quality difference in this new adapter compared to my previous one. The adapter casing, cable and USB port material is also incomparable to my previous one. The USB snaps into place really well, strong connection. This might be the reason my previous adapter stopped working, from day one it never had a stable connection.

Overheated - appears to be faulty
Worked great with my new Dell laptop for a couple of hours. On the second day of use, it overheated and stopped working. I promptly removed it as I was concnred it might damage my laptop. I imagine it was a faulty item. Will be returning it asap. If I don't get an immediate refund I will let you all know.

Great Product, Great Quality
Works really great. The device came with a driver but I did not need to use it for my Windows 10 laptop. I just connected it up to my monitor and it worked straight away. The device is made from a high quality material and comes in a very professional box. Recommend.

Full HD resolution, fast and easy connection
Good quality product, metal outer casing. Connected it up to my laptop and got instant display connection. Great quality display image almost better than my HDMI cable. Really pleased.
