MTD 703-3511B-0637 Replacement Part Finger Guard

This product came at a good price and fit our older model Cub Cadet perfectly! It was a good price, too! We had purchased one from another company several years ago, and it was way more expensive! Thank you!

If you are replacing this part on a similar deck, be forewarned that there is a pot weld on the one corner of the existing piece if it is the original. I needed my portable grinder to smooth the knot down enough for the new piece to fit flush for the bolts to line up. The only reason for four stars is that for a few more bucks, I would like to have the option of adding new hardware to the purchase. The head of my hex bolt was so worn that I was fearful that I would not be able to get it off or it would break and pop through if I reused it.

I have quite a hill I have to mow across and it eats these guards up like crazy. This is the third one I have bought. They fit the Cub Cadet zero turn perfectly.

The replacement part fit perfectly. I was concerned because of the parts number change but it was fine. The part was black and not yellow was my only dissatisfaction.

Craftsman PYT9000; Model No. 247.28981The OEM Finger Guard was welded onto the deck, but broken beyond repair.However, the holes were already in the Craftsman deck for this one to bolt into.I cut the welds with a saws-all to remove what was left of the original finger guard. Then simply bolted this one in place with the 3 carriage bolts, nyloc nuts, and washers I purchased at the local hardware store.It fit perfectly on the deck.Sure beat buying a new deck!
