Divan Ottoman Side Lift Storage Bed Single 4'6 Double 5ft King Size Chenille (4FT Small Double, Silver)

I can't rate comfort yet as I have yet to use it. But built quality and build structure seem beyond expectations.It has some sort of slates and then the sheet on top that covers the box.I am absolutely amazed by the fact that the top of the box (see picture) is covered in some sort of anti-slippery fabric. And this is GREAT. Like really... I have had in the past drawer divan and front lift ottoman bases and it was a nightmare as the mattress kept on sliding out of place. I'll see how this works out.There is absolutely no assembly instructions, and I have received by the looks of it two spare screws. I have contacted the seller and waiting for a reply.EDIT: I have received feedback from the seller. It seems I have wrongly attached the two halves by screwing together the holes that were intended for the headboard. So indeed the headboard can go on either sides of the frame. The spare screw is meant to attach the two top halves. Sadly, due to the lack of instructions I have already punctured the fabric so I cannot reposition the halves, hence keeping the 4star rating. But otherwise really great stuff!

This bed is really sturdy once out together, with much less work than a standard ottoman with slats. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was that there were no instructions in the bed, and some of the screws for the top of the bed hadn’t been screwed in properly meaning we had to screw them in ourselves, so it took a bit longer to put together. Also the gas lift is REALLY strong, and is impossible for one person to close on their own but I’m sure that will ease with use. I ordered silver and it’s more of a dark grey, so much darker than the image but still a nice colour. Delivery was quick and with regular updates of where the bed was, included a phone call from the courier 30 mins before arrival which was great. Overall i was sceptical about ordering but I’m really pleased with the bed and have recommended it to others, hence the reason I’m leaving a review. If you are in any doubt - buy it! I’ve slept like a baby the past two nights!

2 1/2 months using this bed the top face has already began to collapse where I sit at the edge getting in and out of the bed. It appears the top board is just hardboard. It is utter rubbish. Please do not buy this bed base, it is frankly not fit for purpose!Review shortly after receiving bed: Quality not great, but you get what you pay for. If you’re looking for a ottoman bed base that will give a couple of years service then go for it. Personally I regret purchasing this bed base, wishing I had spent more to get a product that I would feel would at least last the life of the mattress.

Arranged delivery over the phone and a courier company delivered it on the date we agreed carried it upstairs for me too. Didnt come with instructions but basically you have two units you have to screw the feet on, bolt the gas struts on one end (other end is done) then put them together (the stickers are to show you where the headboard screws in so dont use put those sides together. There are some clips that hold the bed together and a screw you connect the lids together with. You need the weight of a matteress to stop it opening up again. Really good bed for a fraction of the price I've seen the identical bed for in independent bed shops.

Bed comes in two halves with the feet etc in plastic bags in one of the halves. One gas strut on each side is connected - other needs to be fixed. First work out which way you want to install the bed, so you get the opening on the correct side. Install the feet to the bottom of each half of the bed - you will need a hammer/mallet to install them - good firm tap is required! If you want to fit a headboard - find the holes for the bolts under the fabric at the end (this is marked with white paper circles) - carefully pierce the fabric with a sharp object - fit each of the 4 headboard bolts, making sure that you have put the black plastic spacers on each bolt first. To fix the gas struts you will need a 13mm spanner - remove the bolt where the strut is not attached and then reattach the strut with the bolt. You don't need to overtighten the bolts - just to ensure the stut is secured in place. If the end of the strut is not quite straight then you can unscrew it with a pair of pliers (half a turn maximum required) to ease the fixing of the bolt. Fix the two halves of the bed together using the gold/brass coloured metal clips - they just push on to hold the middle together. The struts are quite powerful and the bed will open if you don't have the mattress on - however once the mattress is in place it does not move. You can open and close the bed with the mattress still on the bed - easy to open - need to get your weight on it to close it again, but it then stays in place. Hope this is useful to someone - we are pleased with the bed - lots of storage under it and seems solid at the moment

Neat size for small bedrooms. Non slip material applied to the top of the ottoman, to help the mattress from slipping. Choice of colours. You have to put on the gas struts and the sliders but that's it, the rest is already made, no spending hours of assembling a flat pack. Also theirs a floor built in, some ottoman beds are just supplied with a piece of cloth to lay on the floor. Speedy delivery.
