Organic Anasazi Beans 8 Lb. Bag Product of USA (8 lb)

This is an 8 lb.(pound) plastic bag of Adobe Milling Organic Anasazi Beans(bag is labeled as such).This is my second source of these(my new favorite) beans. When cooked they look like cooked Cranberry/Borlotti beans(brown color) which is what I expect since I was raised on those beans.My problem is with the bag they are packaged in, it is thin(fragile) and not re-sealable. The box it was shipped in was hit by something sharp(probably sorting or shipping equipment) and had a 2-3 inch hole in its side, the bag was also punctured and there were beans at the bottom of the box. I don't know how much of the product was lost since it does not seem like much, but this is something which could have been avoided if they(the seller) had at least included some bubble wrap(around the beans) to take the force of the blow and protect the fragile product packaging. This is a food item after all. 3.5 stars because of this experience.

These beans are a delight to the palate. But the main reason I bought an 8 lb. bag of these beans was to have something new & different to plant in our garden next spring. I have plenty to share with other gardeners here in the Reno area as well. For folks who haven't tried these beans, try something new. If you like pinto beans, you should like these as well.

These are among our favorite beans. They cook aster than other dry beans, are tender and are not strongly flavored. People who have trouble with the gas produced by other beans will likely not have a problem with these. Great bean! Prompt service.

I had to throw out bag of beans because they came with a laundry scent! Why are foods being stored around chemical scented products?

Good value for the $ per lb. Beans are tasty if you have never tried them, do so. Great ham soup!
