A quick effective fix for dated shelving
I have teak vinyl covering my conservatory windowsill which had bubbled quite badly and come away. I bought this as a way of covering it up while modernising it.With the grids on the back of the plastic it was easy to cut along the lines, it is tricky to do a long length, as I had to peel it back from the long edge to align it and it kept catching and sticking, at least you can pull it away and try again. It started to drift out on one side away from the edge but was easy to cut some 2mm strips and lay them underneath.I used a rag to smooth out the bubbles but you could also use a squeegee blade. As you can see in the photo, for the second bit I had to join the strip end to end. As you can see from my picture it doesn't match up very well, one end of the roll pattern was dark matching up to a lighter edge. Same with the corner, I laid some on top of the other and you can see the ridge underneath. If you were doing a centre piece or worktop you would have to take this into account and try and match up the patterns and colouring as best you can but since this will have plant pots on soon and is in a conservatory so will discolour, I am not too bothered (I used some of this last year and it has started to fade and take on a pink hue). The pattern is accurate as shown by the supplier but I would question picture 3 (the tall shelf with the picture frames as this looks like a different darker pattern). The pattern does have and old wood effect but where it is lighter in places looks a bit wishy washy and faded but you could argue it is supposed to.For the price it is a good interim cover-up for my windowsills.

Doesn’t stick
Not sticking is a pretty serious flaw with sticky back plastic! I’ve used it many times before so I know about the adhesion properties but this was just rubbish.

Great product
I've purchased 3 rolls of this and used it to cover an Ikea Kallax, This comes as a roll, much like wrapping paper. It has a very strong chemical smell when first unrolled, which fades in a day or two. It's a peel and stick adhesive film and is very simple to measure and cut. When doing an extremely large section, it's somewhat challenging to get it flat without bubbles, but not unusual for any type of adhesive film. I would purchase this again.

First time use & very impressed
The roll itself is only 45cm long so it’s not long enough for the length of a kitchen countertop if that’s what you’re wanting to do as my kitchen countertops are roughly 70cm from tiled to draw unit. But that’s not a fault as you can cut another piece and can’t even see the join line! It has brightened up my kitchen so much, I’m over the moon with it.This is the first time I have used DCFix, I’ve been wanting to do this for ages but always put it off because I’ve panicked, well I’m glad I did do it and I should have done it a long time ago, it’s transformed my kitchen.I ordered 3 rolls and my partner purchased me a 4th roll this evening as i need to do a small bit which I don’t have any left for. But for the remainder of the 4th roll I think I’m going to cover the frame of the mirror out my bathroom.I do have to say as a first time user & buyer that this stuff isn’t sticky like a sticker sticky, it’s like window sticker sticky, so when I decide to take it off my countertops it won’t leave a sticky residue which I’m thankful for!

Happy doors
So pleased with the transformation of a horrible plain door. Take a bit of time and it comes out well. Sticks well, would highly recommend.
