Java moss is a moss belonging to the Hypnaceae family. Native to Southeast Asia, it is commonly used in freshwater aquariums. It can be attached to rocks, roots, and driftwood. Java Moss do best in low to medium light. Java Moss is sold as a loose portion and its best to tie them to rock or driftwood if you don't want the moss to float around your aquarium.
