Love, love, charm, love!
I love this book! Ms. Haab has done it again. Enjoying a long, prolific craft writing career, Sherri continues to bring a rich and eclectic, varied background of crafting and design expertise to her newest book. Her project designs are always simple to follow, and yet to the beholder, look much more difficult. Her design projects are on trend and yet have so many possibilities to explore; I think they will continue on to be timeless. This book will stay on the crafter's bookshelf for a long time to come. I believe that this book has the best ever how-to introductory sections. The illustrations and photo's are great. They are easy to follow, fun, and entice one to jump in quickly! Sherri is always meticulous in her research, whether what's happening in the design world, her thoughtful and logical process steps, and material/technique safety concerns. Her writing is also just plain fun. The crafter can hardly wait to dive into the projects. Inspiration for any level with lots of room for one's own creativity. Personally, my own crafting background involves a lot of polymer and fiber. Sherri pairs these elements in many great combinations. I have known Sherri over the years from our mutual backgrounds in many media and she always comes up with great "why didn't I think of that" ideas. From "Pearl Glam" with it's silver dipped iridescence, to dead heads, to "Rainbow Ice" and it's amazing lookalike glazes, to woodland themes such as "Branching Out" and "Into the Woods"... there's something for everyone. Last year, I was frustrated with what I found out there on friendship bracelet instructions. I would have saved a lot of time if this book had been available with lots more creative time making these bracelets. Oh well.... I highly recommend this book for summer fun crafting! (or anytime)

Love the macramé and most of the polymer work
Love the macramé and most of the polymer work, but not all is to my personal taste. Overall, a great book.

Excellent guide for the art of friendship bracelets!
This book is jam packed FULL of excellent information! From picture tutorials on how to do all of the different knots, to excellent instructions on how to make and decorate the charms, this book can take you from a pile of raw materials to a beautiful charm/friendship bracelet! All of the instructions are laid out step-by-step complete with photos to make it easy to follow along. There are instructions for making lots of different bead types to mimic all sorts of materials (glass, clay, fired pottery, etc).I also love all of the sample bracelets that she made (complete with instructions) but the possibilities are endless by mixing beads, using store bought beads or switching the bracelet style. The author, Sherri Haab, has laid an excellent groundwork that will be so easy to build upon to make friendship bracelets of all colours and styles. If you're looking to make your own friendship bracelets, you certainly can't go wrong with this book. There is also a resources list at the back of the book which outlines where supplies can be purchased.

Amazing creations!
I’ve been a big fan of author Sherri Haab for many years. I bought a simple kid’s book about crafting with polymer clay and gave it my daughter. She started out using the ideas in it with playdough and then moved on to polymer clay and over the last several years, she has really enjoyed working with polymer clay and has done very well with it. I have a few other books from Ms. Haab and have really appreciated her creations and expertise. In this book she combines both bracelet making and polymer clay together to make gorgeous jewelry. My daughter is a pre-teen now and loved the ideas in the book and has already made several of them to give as gifts to her friends. There is a lot of good info at the start of the book for those new to polymer clay and/or jewelry making and knotting and I think the casual cord material works very well with the clay charms. Right now, I’m working on the Day of the Dead bracelet, first making the skeleton charms and then I will add the, to the knotted cord bracelet. I also love the Native American pattern inner strength bracelet with a tiny clay bear that looks like it is made from turquoise. There are very clear illustrations for making the patterned macrame style bracelets, which made it easy for me to follow along. I’ve also learned some new techniques for polymer clay, so that was an extra bonus!

Packed full of pretty techniques
I own quite a number of Sherri's books and this latest one is so pretty and packed full of new techniques that I can't wait to try out. There are all sorts of interesting ways to cover shaped wire, filigree, and even use doilies in interesting ways. This book is a bead and charm making book combined with a macrame and knotting so you can learn to make entire piece of your complete own design. One of my favorite parts of this book is how Sherri combines lots of different elements such as rhinestones and images with polymer clay, fiber, and paint. For a mixed-media artist who loves to make jewelery this would surely be a great source book.

I love these projects!
This book goes way beyond just the lovely bracelets! There are amazing techniques for not just forming polymer clay, but for unique finishes for the charms. There is even a technique to use liquid polymer clay to create the same effect as enameling on metal. The illustrations are clear and easy to follow. There are variations for the projects to challenge the imagination, so you don't feel locked into a specific color pallet or style. I love that the projects can be finished in a day or two. This will keep me busy for quite a while!
