I purchased the 5 lb. blanket for my 32-lb. 3-year old daughter and she really likes it. I think it is just the right weight for her as she grows. It also fits perfectly in her toddler bed. I have already washed it and it held up beautifully through a wash/dry cycle. If you haven't tried a weighted blanket, as I hadn't, it kind of reminds me of the feeling of the lead apron they put on you at the dentist's office for x-rays. It's an all-over weight. You can't feel the little beads inside. As another reviewer mentioned, the outer edge of quilting does not contain any weight. My only complaint is the blue color is much more boy-ish than in the picture. It's more of a dark powdery blue and the reverse side is gray. My daughter wanted to reject it at first due to the color, until she tried it and liked the feeling of it. If I were to order again, I'd definitely go with the purple instead.

Update: we've had this for 8 months and washed it more than a few times. Continue to love it. Has held it's shape and has no weight loss. Fabric still looks great.This blanket is so soft, and the color is pretty and soothing (light aqua on one side, a nice medium grey on the other). I got it for my dog because she likes to sleep with pillows on top of her. Now we put this over her at bedtime and she snuggles in and does not move ALL NIGHT (not because she can't but because she's so comfy :) She weighs 57 lbs and I got her the 5lb blanket. I'm going to get another one for my mom's dog to use during thunderstorms as a thunder "shirt".

The media could not be loaded.  I was intended to purchase this minky weighted blanket for myself to use in my office. I have some pains on my knees and I was hoping this weighted blanket can ease my pain.However, when I received this and my daughter found it, she seemed to find an amazing toy. She loves it and was not willing to give it back to me. She takes it anywhere, sofa, recliner chair and bed. She likes rolling on it in the bed. Now she loves it more than me.I had to purchase another one and it helps with my knee joint pain as expected.So you see, both my daughter and me love it now.

I had an issue with sizing at first and Amy emailed me and was so helpful in solving the problem. Customer service was fantastic and I think thats huge in itself nowadays! This blanket comes in a nice bag with a bonus eye cover. It's quality made and everyone who has used it in our house has loved it. Our Saint Bernard actually tries to make it his own sometimes. The soft minky fabric does make it pretty irresistible so I can't blame him. Thanks so much

I chose this blanket for my daughter and I am so glad I did. It is super soft, a great weight at 5 lbs and easy to wash. She loves it. She's slept so much better since using it.

My 4 year old loves his blanket. Puts him to sleep super fast, he used to take forever to fall asleep.

My son loves this blanket. It is very soft, and the weight is perfect for my small 7 year old.

This was perfect for my 6yr. He has always had trouble sleeping and now he falls asleep faster and stays asleep through the night which helps his mood during the day! :)
