Smells Heavenly and Moisturizing to Boot!
I unfortunately found out about this product too late (after stores stopped stocking it and it was sold out everywhere). I hope Amazon does not stop carrying this for a long time.My hairdresser said that I needed a hair butter (as opposed to a mousse or cream), so my search began.A bit of background that led to this purchase: when I was completely natural, I had a mix of 4B and 4C hair. This year, I decided to take the plunge and begin getting professional texturizers again, so now my hair is 4A - 4C.I may be in the minority, but after numerous tries I came to the conclusion that my hair and Shea Butter as a primary (or sole) ingredient will never be friends. Additionally, I am not sure if it's lack of demand, supply chain issues or something else, but it has become increasingly difficult to find an actual hair *butter* (not a mousse or cream). When I did find one, Shea Butter was prominently featured. After some deep research, I came across this product, which ticks all the boxes: it's an actual butter that gives just the right amount of weight to my curls (I use it daily, along with a leave-in conditioner), it smells amazing, a little goes a long way and while there is Shea Butter in it, it's in the middle of the list of ingredients. What really impressed me is that Aloe is the main ingredient (not water), so it does a great job of moisturizing. I also feel the price is excellent for the amount of product you get.Hope you give it a try!

PLEASE BRING THIS BACK!!!
I love this and I just found out it’s been discontinued. Now I’m holding on to my last jar like a priceless family heirloom. This is my favorite product from this Maui Moisture. It’s a very light scent which I REALLY appreciate and one of my favorite scents at that. It does everything it’s supposed to do and it does it well. Very smooth texture and my hair just eats it up. Maui Moisture PLEASE bring this back.

Surprised & impressed.
I was in search of something to replace the Curl Quench Curl Smoothie since it seems to be out of stock in stores and online. I have dry, coarse, wiry, curly, wavy hair and a lot of products do not work for me but this one worked even better than the curl smoothie by Maui Moisture. The smell is a little strong if you have a sensitive nose. For me, personally, I have to do two applications of this and most leave in products. I split my hair down the middle and finger comb each side before I condition, tie it up, finger comb each side again while I rinse it out with cold water, I immediately saturate my hair with the product after getting out of the shower finger combing each side again from root to tip (my hair frizzes out if I do just the tips and I have better results starting at the roots) then I wait about 15min when my hair is still really damp right before it starts to dry and add another coating but only half of what I used the first time and then let it air dry. I pull out the middle part with four fingers before I rinse out the conditioner in the shower because I don’t like a middle part. After it dries I “break the shell” for a smoother fuller look. I use Hairitage shampoo and conditioner everyday and cleanse once a week with head and shoulders shampoo followed by Hairitage’s transforming hair mask deep conditioner. Just thought I’d throw in my routine because it took me years to find one that works for my mop.

Maui moisture hair butter
Okay, so this Maui moisture hair butter. Should NOT, in my opinion of course... be used as a deep conditioner. I would say use it ( very little product) as a leave in perhaps. I haven't tried it as a leave in. Will do so and will update my review when I do. In the meantime, I used it as a deep conditioner in shower. Left it on with a cap for maybe around 10 to 12 minutes. And when I rinsed it out my hair felt GREASY! 😖😩 I absolutely did not like that!! Being that I had taken great care and time to cleanse my scalp and hair with my shampoo. I have 3C medium texture very curly hair. Not high density. My hair is sort of fine. But VERY curly. And so I don't recommend you use it as a deep conditioner in shower. And if you use it as a leave in, use VERY little. EDIT** It is better as a leave in conditioner versus deep conditioning.

Works Great for Fine Curly Hair
Originally purchased as a hair mask/deep conditioner for fine, dense, 3a/2b curls, tried the hibiscus one and hated the scent, plus it didn't work as a leave in for me, but according to maui moisture that's the one for fine, curly hair. After trying this one, I'd say ignore their recs and just try it. Find myself reaching for this as a 2-in-1 leave in conditioner/styling cream (used with a mousse for hold), plus it works as a deep conditioner. Also smells great! Liked this as a styler so much, I'll be trying the smoothie and gel, for when my hair is less dry/I want more hold. Plus you really can't beat the price for 12oz of product.
