Hipster outdoor pants! But I like them anyway!
First of all, the sizing -- I have a 30" waist and kind of skinny legs. Based on other reviews I bought the MEDIUM, instead of my typical small. Glad I did --- the mediums fit pretty great with still quite skinny fit legs. I can't imagine how skintight the small size would have been. So, size up.Secondly, the stretch on the material is great - truly 4 way. Super comfortable material. Legs a little short - I wear a 32" inseam - but not so bad I won't wear them. Front slant pockets are very deep. Back pockets normal sized, with velcro flap over one pocket but not the other. Would be nice if they had another leg pocket or some kind of zip pocket. Ostensively these are designed for outdoors use - feel like the pocket situation should be better. They are also very thin and light. Great for warm or humid climates, but I don't think I'd be very warm in these in cold temps. Not a big deal I can layer to keep my chihuahua legs warm.Overall I like them very much -- super comfortable and I can't wait to travel with them. Seem like you could wear them for a week straight with no problems. Honestly like adult sweatpants in the comfort department. Wish they'd upgrade pockets or drop price to about $50. But if I wear them for days and days I feel like I've gotten my money's worth.

Order a size up and you'll have a tough, comfy and awesome set of pants!
The boring: Fast shipping, good packagingGirlfriend 150 lbs, 5'6" daily crossfit so hips, quads and butt are full so she wears largeMe: 150 lbs, 5'7" but the medium are best as I'm more lean, (runner and crossfit)The good: Excellent pants! Picture scrubs meet sweatpants meet jeans and you're in the right ballpark. Stretchy, comfortable and really well made. First thing the girlfriend and I did was put them on and pour a cup of water over our legs. Pants and legs stayed dry, very impressive! I don't know if the hydrophobic qualities will be retained after multiple washes but so far so good. They have a drawstring at the waist that is outside the pants, but high enough you can tuck the strings inside the waist band. I do like they have belt loops as well since I wear a belt for the look as well as clipping things to when I hike. Drawstrings on the legs are perfect, not too baggy (I roll these under so they don't stick out, and the opening is large enough to sit over my Solomon hiking boots which are also waterproof), so anything that hits my legs rolls right down and off. We've not tried anything with more pressure as it states it will penatrate per the description.Front pockets are deep and functional and they stretch with the pants so phones, wallets and keys all sit well in them. Back pocket has no zipper and only one has velcro so not great for areas with pickpockets if traveling in a city, so I just put my wallet in my front pocket. Fly on the pants are fake (looks nice just seen shut, no zipper or button), but it doesn't matter as when you untie it, it can be pulled or stretched down like sweatpants. The brown is a really nice color, as is the blue, but the blue is lighter than jeans, darker than scrubs so an in between blue. I think the black could be used for business casual but the blue and brown couldn't pull it off.10/10 would buy again. They are thin, light and comfy and will be my main pants on my hikes.

Not Slim Fit version
Love the Coalatree trailhead pants, but the ones I recently received were not the ones described. These are clearly the new loose fitting ones sold on their site. I know the difference because I own two of the original slim fitting ones. These pants still feel great, but not what I wanted. Returning now, and Hoping the slim fit ones come back in stock.

Super comfy, super slim, great pants
Really like them overall. Great looking, stylish “hipster” hiking pants. Very comfortable, not thick but the interior lining keeps them relatively warm as well. Feels like they’d be great for a hike but also for just a casual day out. Great stretch and range of mobility. Decently deep pockets in the front. Only thing I’m not crazy about is the string tie at the bottom, a little annoying to have to tie them every time you put them on/off - would prefer just elastic or a slim cuff. But I understand it adds a level of customization so it’s not too bad. Warning - they are a slim fit. I wear a 33/30 and I got the mediums. I like slim pants but my wife even commented they are quite cozy on my bottom. Not a bad thing 😂 but something to be aware of.

Comfortable but low quality for the price.
Well I really wanted to like these pants. They’re very comfortable, very stretchy, and very cool but, within two weeks of wear and three washes seams started to rip. In less than a few days piling started to develop. For the price and past reviews I had high expectations for quality.

Great pant, but runs small
Disclaimer: Returning for a larger size (when they aren't sold out for a large). GREAT pant, very comfy, well made, exactly what I wanted, but too small. I am 5'10 and 150lbs.. these are too short. Would be 5 stars, but Mediums are more like s/m. would be 5 stars if they sized these a bit better.

I am 5'7" 140 lbs and the mediums fit pretty well. The waist is a little loose but ...
I wear these as often as I can! I am 5'7" 140 lbs and the mediums fit pretty well. The waist is a little loose but the drawstring takes care of that nicely. I have pretty long legs so they are a bit shorter than I would normally wear but I don't care because they are so comfortable and versatile. I've used them to hike, climb and lounge. I recommend these pants to my friends and can't wait to have them in every color.

Best pants I now own. No exaggerating.
Never thought I'd spend $90 on pants but I tried 4 other pairs of pants that I could travel lightly with and still manage all my adventures...and well, I'm keeping only these. Amazing fit, great style with the drawstrings and also the pattern is stylish enough for work. And so far I've been lounging in them nonstop.Heck, I might get rid of other pants and just get more of these.210 lbs, muscular, 5'10, I got Medium Black.
