Best game in the series so far
Absolutely my favourite game in the series so far. The game feels a bit too easy on normal difficulty but I haven't tried hard yet. Will be a good entry point for people new to the series. Don't worry, you don't need to play any other games to understand this one, it's standalone. The characters are well written and every one of them has depth, even if they may seem shallow on the surface. The support conversations are moving and sometimes funny. The character art is great, and whilst the graphics aren't as impressive as other switch titles, they're the best we've seen from Fire Emblem. The story is full of twists, and even though some are predictable, it's great fun, especially when your choices can impact the story. Fantastic replayability, with the three houses to choose. Theres also a 'secret' second heart-wrenching route if you choose Black Eagles, which plays quite differently to the others. The gameplay is also great. I love the addition of monsters, they add a new layer of depth to the strategy and they actually feel quite formidable. Of course a lot of maps are pretty big standard, I've also played lots of interesting and innovative maps that have really made me think. You can also greatly customise your units classes and skills, which is another part of the strategy.I expected the side activities like walking around the monastery etc to be quite trivial, but they're actually really fun. There's a lot of time between the battles (unless you choose to skip these days, whcih you can do) but I haven't been at all bored by it.10/10, would recommend whether you're an old fan or completely new to the series.

The strategic role play and character interactions.
I have play Fire emblem fates originally on my 3DS XL and I furally enjoyed the game play and the story telling, it was a little grindy and tough dependent on what path you choose but really good for a nintendo game.So as you can imagine I was intrigued to play Fire Emblem: Three Houses. However, the cost is exponentially high in price which deterred me from purchasing it when it first came out. But, once you actually get it, the game itself is significantly better and different to the last series, almost unrecognisable bringing back some core little features and turning it into a mini-game!The character interactions are superb and the teaching mechanics are quite tough to get your head around at first but they eventually do add up to some interesting game play and character development once you grasp those mechanics.Overall I think it is over priced, but a good game to play.

Tragically brilliant
Holy moly... This was my first introduction to the fire emblem series proper (after some fun with their Warriors version). I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was blown away. I've completed one run through and, rarely for me, will almost certainly do more to uncover more of the story. The game play has a really nice balance of intensity to adventure. The teaching and levelling up parts are enjoyable and really help you to immerse yourself in the role; a role which is central to the story's emotive core. I don't wish to spoil anything at all so I'll simply say that the way the story unfolds is fantastic, you also don't get to know and understand everything that's happening from one play (or perhaps more) and I think that's actually incredible - in life, we don't know everything, we are all left with unanswered questions (and rather than a lazy flaw, this story makes the most of that!). There are times when the story tends towards a little immaturity, which is natural to given its design and target audience, but just when you think it's a little vanilla it shows some incredible underlying depth to the characters' stories, relationships and psychology. Ultimately, the more you put in to this game the more you get out. Give everything, and you'll enjoy a fascinating story with enjoyable gameplay which ultimately reveals itself to understand the inherent tragic realism of human nature, conflict and inescapable choices. I highly recommend it, it's left me with one of my most brilliantly tragic moments in my gaming life!P.s. yes, you have to be mature to see all this but it's there!

best switch game for sure
Fire emblem one are my fav games of all time, this game has a very fluid and fun combat, you can decide to train your squad on which way youd like even if they for ex have weakness (flying) they can still learn it obv in a slower pace than others, knowing your students personalities and seeing their development as them progress is engaging, fishing and gardening are fun and i find gardening quite addictive even tho simple, i wasnt so sure about this one cuz havwnt played any similar games before, this game is quite scary at first because of the functions, but they are simple when you understand them, i put on permadeath to make me more careful about my choices but you can do casual as well, i had to restart my squad 4 times till i was happy with their (goals) cuz i was making a few mistakes, since i learned their behaviour i can restart the game with an even more strategy and engagement. amazing graphics and amazing cutscenes, replayability is immense too.
