SIMPLY THE BEST! BUY IT!
UPDATE: We had HUGE winds resulting in the dome coming down, not supporting the roof. Originally hadnt staked down with the side ropes. Since then, high winds didnt cause the roof to come down so all is still good.EXCELLENT easy up dome screen tent. BEST in class and has all the features. EXCEEDS expectations. The first one we had was a different name brand and lasted a couple years, it was a good name brand but was over $300. THIS replacement is much better in every way.*The fabric, grommets, zippers, velcro, and even the stakes are high quality. The six strings come with smaller stakes for extra wind protection*The ATTACHED wind and rain flaps are a huge upgrade and bonus! Others have invidual panels that need to be put up by attaching to the tent with velcro. SOME, USUALLY only 2 have windows (so there can be ventalation when the protection, comfort panels are up). These panels have a window in EVERY panel and thus no matter which way the wind or rain is coming from you'll be able to open windows. The quality is notable with small seams fitting over the edge of the panels. There are panels for the doors too. All panels just need to be rolled up and tied when not needing them. Then to use just unroll and velcro down the ones you choose.*The door has two quality zippers, one for the screen layer and one for the wind and rain panel. The zipper can be unzipped from the top or bottom. *The size is larger than most, usually the 12' ones are 11'.5" or at most 12' while this one is an extra 6 inches all the way around (which is really an extra foot inside if adding the 6in from one side to the 6in straight across. This could be used as a sleeping tent for extra guests. The listing pics don't do justice for this screen tent, it's much better. It costs a tad more but overall it's a much better deal. This is a case of you get what you pay for.Review pics were taken with some side panels down and some up to show what each look like. It was very windy when pics were taken. The front anchor strings are not up.The easiest way to set up is go inside and push out the lower wall pieces going around a circle. That takes about a minute. Then stake down, hold stakes at an angle. The grommets are under the rain flaps at the intersections/corners.

Now, THIS is INSTANT Set-Up!
Now THIS is INSTANT Set-Up!I was able to set this up in ten minutes and it was FANTASTIC owing to the ease of use. Watch YouTube videos on its setup. They aren't contrived, it really is that easy straight out of the bag. The unit is self contained and the only things extra are guylines and stakes which really should be used on shelters of this type if you don't want it blowing away.I was shorted one guyline and will reach out to the manufacturer for a replacement. I received one extra stake. The stakes are the plastic type and I'll be replacing them with metal stakes and also some sand stakes. And so, first impressions are very good.Given the design, I fully expect this to sway vigorously in strong winds which is fine by me because like a tent, it will bend with the wind rather than being ripped apart from the rigidity of the frame. *Really* well done design. The parts and materials are all very good quality. The zipper is very good quality and large. Any heavier of a material and it would have been too heavy and unwieldy for me. As it is, I can definitely handle this bag. Speaking of, the storage bag is a mid-to-light canvas. I'll likely wrap the unit in something for travel, perhaps a light blanket. Speaking of travel, it will likely need to be secured on the roof because it is 6 feet long. I've not measured it out inside the SUV yet but I'm guessing it's not going to fit. That said, if the length is what is preventing you from purchasing it, FIND A WAY to get it on your roof because it's worth it.If you have read my other camping gear reviews you'll know I'm only 5'3". In order to be able to pull down the ceiling, I took the advice from a YouTube video and attached a sturdy strand of cloth to the ceiling hub before pushing it up. Glad I did because there was no way I would have been able to reach that sucker and so keep that in mind if you cannot comfortably reach 7 feet in the air. This unit is large. It is more than ample for me and my dog and will be able to fit many guests as well or a standard sized picnic table. What I wasn't aware of before purchasing is that there are large grommets at the bottom of each of the corners where additional stakes can be set down.It looks like they thought of everything, their design team should be congratulated and I couldn't be more pleased.I'll update the review after its first flight next weekend and again at the end of the month on an extended stay on Assateague Island.2019-05-19 UpdateFigured I would give an update since it's the season for purchasing for many.Everything I wrote in the above review still stands. I was able to fit this in my Chevy Equinox after all - and with a ton of other gear as well.In complete frankness, this is the best screened room I've ever seen.First use was over an extended weekend at a campground. It POURED the entire time. And because I had also purchased the matching window covers for this unit, my dog and I stayed completely dry from above and on all sides.I also had puchased the large, stowable grass mats for this. And those kept us from getting muddy on our feet. The trip itself was a cluster give the sudden and unexpected storms and I'm really thankful I had this shelter because the tent would have been a utter mess from mud.Cleanup is a breeze with a hose and a soft brush.I really can't say enough good things about this shelter. Ive also set it up in the yard and it's a great escape from skeeters and such.If I were to need to purchase another shelter, this is the only thing I will buy from here on out.

Beautiful and durable
Really like that these tents are now available in a variety of colors with side panels to match. This tent is super easy to assemble with just one person, although two makes it quicker. I have experience with both the 4 and 5 sided versions, and like both. The 4 is great for small spaces, but the 5 sided version can easily handle 4 folks comfortably. These tents stand up well to wind and rain with the side panels in place. Also nice to have a roll-up window on each side panel for those warmer days. Would recommend anchoring down each section at both the middle eye bolt and the plastic loop at the top corners of each panel. When you do this, the tent is very sturdyWhen you use side panels (not included with the main tent but can be ordered additionally in packs of three), the Velcro attach points are sturdy, but will give way in winds >20 MPH. I’m going to try curved safety pins to see if that can fix this one issue. Also, the plastic ring at the top corner of each section of the tent is great for securing side panels and an anchor point, but they will tear under high wind conditions. Would be nice to engineer/design a stronger connection point at that location.Overall, we are super happy with the tent as we are near the beach with frequent winds. The tent allows us to enjoy being outside most days for the majority of the day.

Quick set up.
This shelter is awesome. Quick to set up and take down. Like anything it takes a little practice. Very well made and lots of ways to secure it from the wind. The space inside is huge. You can easily have eight chairs inside without feeling cramped. Would highly recommend!

A rock solid shelter under the most extreme conditions!
This is a great shelter that is every bit as easy to set up as the videos make clear. It is quite large inside and provides plently of space for chairs and other supplies. With the addition of the side panels it kept the contents inside quite dry during 4 days of continuous heavy rain and sustained wind in the Pacific Northwest. It is very well-made and comes in a great carry bag, although the bag is about 6 feet long so you will need to take this into account when packing. When I set mine up the first time it had a rip in one of the lower bug screen panels although this in no way hindered the use of the shelter. I am still amazed that the company not only listened to my enquiry about what could be done to fix it but in fact replaced the whole shelter. The new shelter arrived about 2 weeks after I first emailed customer support. Here is the letter I just sent to the company in reponse:Many companies advertise their “great” customer service but few actually deliver when it really counts. I have to say that Clam has delivered and I cannot state enough how impressed I am.I purchased the Quick-Set Escape 9879 in February, 2017, and it was delivered about a month later in March just a few days before a Spring camping trip in British Columbia where we camped in Porteau Cove Provincial Park on beautiful Howe Sound. The shelter was easy to set up but unfortunately upon completing the setup one of the screen panels was ripped. Since the rip didn’t hinder use of the shelter we decided to continue using it. I am glad we did!On the first night in the park there was continuous heavy rain and gale force winds gusts of over 50km/h. I had pegged the shelter down using 10” nails and had tied it to multiple trees and anchored the flaps with rocks so I figured it was probably safe but I couldn’t be sure until morning. The next morning it was still pouring rain and when I crawled out of my tent I was relieved to see that the shelter was still standing. This was in spite of the fact that the wind had somehow pushed in one of the panels and half the pegs had been pulled out of the ground. So I secured it again, tied it to even more trees and used more large rocks to further secure the panels. It never moved again. When I wrote your company about the ripped panel I never could have expected that you would replace the whole shelter. That you were prepared to stand by your product that much says a lot about your company and how you value your product and more importantly your customers. The Quick-Set Escape 9879 shelter performed beyond expectations in conditions that were incredible to say the least. It saved our tent camping trip since without it we would not have been able to stay out for the four days we did in those conditions. Your customer service is exceptional and I cannot say enough about how impressed I am.Thank you again for replacing the shelter, you continue to have a very happy customer.

Best screen pop up tent out there!
Love that it's so easy to setup! Maybe two minutes max for one person to set this up. I use it for relief from bugs, but also as I just found out - it keeps the warmth in as well a bit. We have a propane portable fire pit that we use inside. So happy with this purchase. Worth every cent!

Excellent product, but study and follow setup instructions carefully.
Once the tent was up, it functioned perfectly. It seems to be very well designed and made. We use it in our yard so we can sit outside without being harassed by mosquitoes which can be pretty bad here. Being able to sit outside and enjoy the view and birdsong is even a bigger benefit than I imagined, so the dearest and I are really happy with the purchase. Too bad we didn't do it years ago.Fair warning though, before you try to set this tent up, study and follow the instructions carefully. If you mess up, you could generate a three dimensional puzzle that could defeat you, instructions or no.Part of my problem was that the first time I noticed the instruction leaflet included in the kit was when our dog did a high speed pass by the wife and I with the thing in her mouth. I didn't notice the leaflet fall to the ground. Our dog, on the other hand, does not miss that sort of opportunity. She didn't generate the chase she was hoping for (we were rather busy at the moment), but she had a grand time rendering the leaflet into confetti before I figured out that I needed it.My foul up was, as noted at one point by my wife, trying to set the tent up inside out. Trust me, without instructions, many people will do likewise - it is the apparent next step when you undo the bundle. Except that it doesn't work - "doesn't work" is an understatement.Did I mention confetti? Happily, instructions were available online. Sadly, by the time I located online instructions, it was impossible to apply them due to the tangle. A twist in the fabric of the assembly made starting and following the instructions impossible. For about an hour and a half of puzzling and manipulating, all I accomplished was to make the twist worse, or transfer the problem from one spot to another in the tangle. A video of the process would have been a YouTube hit.To get out of the mess, I had to remove the fiberglass roof supports and then re-assemble them after de-twisting the fabric, a process that was only just barely possible given the length of the fiberglass supports. So, be warned. Study the instructions. The paper ones will do if you can keep them, or retrieve them, from the dog, but there are videos and instructions online as well. Don't even unwrap the bundle until you have read and understood them from beginning to end. If you do otherwise, you may transform a two minute exercise into a three hour or worse mind bender, or as one reviewer mentioned, ending up sending the mess back to be replaced by a fresh tent.
