So amazing! I haven't heard that well in years!
It kind of freaked me out after using this...I'd forgotten that things like sheets rustle when you move in them at night and the that carpet makes a sound when you step on it with bare feet. This device is awesome...takes a lot of work (i.e. you have to do it many times and give some time in between if you're like me) but it's so worth it and better than pretty much anything outside a professional doctor's office. Bless whoever came up with the design.Just keep doing it until you start getting out gobs of wax. You need to press it hard. The design means you can put it in as far as it'll go and press down with all your might and you won't hurt yourself...the water squirts out the sides of the tip as shown...a lot nicer than the ball type designs. Didn't give me a pressure headache either.Definitely do it near a sink...you'll be using a lot of water and it can get messy. Also, I waited very eagerly for this for almost a week...when it came and I used it, I was singing its praises very loudly. So my boyfriend ran to CVS (where I had looked but not found anything like this) and returned with the identical item in different packaging. He paid only about $2 more and didn't have to wait. Just FYI.No matter where you buy this though if you or someone you know has wax issues, this is SOOO worth it. Really works on the very oily wax too. This is a quality of life issue...knowing now how well it works and how much annoyance, pain, and bad hearing it has corrected, I'd say the benefit gained was worth hundreds of dollars (how much I would have paid a doctor for this result). Not that I'd pay that when it's available for this price, but still :)Update on 3/11/2013: I don't use it as often as I should - every 2-3 months when my ears start feeling plugged again...and every time it continues to amaze me! So yeah, still HIGHLY recommended.Update on 5/8/2014: Same as previous update - every time I use this, I wonder why I waited so long since the last time. It's still amazing and seems so miraculous afterward. Device is easy to clean and doesn't get gross.

Very happy with product
I have had chronic problems with my ears since I was a child. I stopped having problems for a few years, but in my late teens and as an adult I tend to find that I get chronic buildup and frequent infections especially following any kind of sore throat/head cold/allergy type situations. The last few years, I've dealt with it by using things like Debrox drops and the included ear bulb and a heating pad, but I felt like I never really got results with the ear bulb by itself and I have concerns about putting the drops in my ears as much as I was. After seeing a few "ear wash" videos online, I considered getting an elephant ear washer but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $30+ for what appears to essentially be a glorified spray bottle. I also had concerns about the direct spray and my eardrums. This seemed like a nice, relatively cheap compromise because I spend more than what I paid for this on tons of other useless crap on a regular basis.Everything arrived as described.Per the instructions other reviewers have posted, I put Debrox drops in one ear first and waited before attempting to flush with water. On the first try, I only used drops in one ear. The water I used in the ear with the drops was a bit too cool as I did experience a bit of lightheadedness that I did not experience later when flushing the other ear with warmer water. The ear I used the drops in did not have as much stuff when I flushed them as the ear I did not use drops in. The drops actually seemed to irritate the inside of my ears a little, causing drainage problems and I was a bit uncomfortable when I flushed them.Overall, I actually really like this thing. As I stated before, using the drops seemed to irritate the inside of my ears and made the product less effective for me. I think I'm going to try to use this product without the drops for awhile. Warm water is essential because using water that is too hot or too cool will cause lightheadedness. As other reviewers have noted, it is a bit of a pain to keep filling it up and squirting it in. It doesn't hold much water, but I refuse to take off stars for that because I knew how large it was when I purchased it. It can be a little awkward to use because you have to push the plunger in while holding it in your ear. I imagine it is probably a little hard for some people to get the right angle to squirt in the right place. I actually struggled with this a little bit but feel that the results overall are worth it once I figured things out. I'm definitely happy with the purchase and plan to keep using it. I'm also considering buying more for others in my family who have similar issues.

Works after an earwax treatment
The media could not be loaded. This works great after an earwax treatment.Pro: easy to use, no mess, works great on an adult, well made (durable), easy to clean (reusable), no painCon: a bit large to use on a kidThe size is overkill but it helps clean it (this is just me being picky)
