Wife absolutely loves the scent.
Amazing lubricant for shaving. Completely eliminated break outs, no ingrown hairs, works perfectly with my safety razor. Some people (myself included originally) aren't using this cream to its fullest potential. I've discovered a small dab approx 1/2 tsp in my shaving cup with about 6 drops of water will whisk up into a nice foam in about 30 seconds. When I first started I wasn't adding any water other than what may or may not have been on my brush. A few drops of water to activate the shaving paste will turn it into a nice light meringue which is great for brush application. My first jar lasted just barely 2 months, the last jar after adding water to the mix went 6 and still is roughly 1/3 full.

Better than expected - Signature Scent
At first whiff, I wasn't impressed, it seemed a too mild and lacking in character. But after having lathered it on my face I was delighted not only with the scent but with how long the smell stays on my face, how little you need to use, and how well it lathers. I just ordered the sandalwood scent to try it out since I liked the signature scent so much, so we'll see how that compares. I was loyal to Cella for a long time, but this is it's replacement. I like it more.

NEVER BEEN NEAR A BAY AND DOESN'T HAVE ANY RUM IN IT
THE BAD: This shaving cream is supposed to be bay rum scented. Bay rum is best described as the fragrance of bay leaves and cloves. It is a very nice smell and historically has been very popular as a men's scent. Unfortunately this product has zero bay rum scent. The smell of this shaving cream is that of a soap, pleasant but undistinguished. Knightsbridge should either change the name or add some cloves and bay leaves to it.THE GOOD: Fragrance aside, this is a very good shaving cream. It lathers well, minimizes razor drag and does not irritate my skin as some other products have.I would buy this again as a general shaving cream for use with a brush but I would not buy it if I wanted something with bay rum fragrance

My Favorite Shaving Cream So Far
It's the best I've tried so far, and I went through about 5 fancy creams and countless supermarket ones, so that's something. Also, for the price, you're getting alot of it, and a little goes a long way.I like.

Best of the Affordable Creams
I was fortunate enough to have an excellent shave shop where I live in LA. I was able to try just about every shaving cream, soap and razor blade on the planet. I do prefer the shaving creams. I have purchased the $70 ones, and they are superior to what I refer to as the second tier ones. There are three second tier ones that I do buy, all of them from England. I switch around This Knightsbridge Shaving Cream is the best of the second tier creams, and only performs just a little less than the $70 ones I've tried. I suppose my only complaint is that the fragrances could be a little stronger. When cost and performance are balanced, this one is the best overall.

Learning Curve
I just bought my second container of this. There is a learning curve to all double edge shaving products be it a different brand of blades, brush, razor or in this case a shaving cream. I always run very hot water in my sink and let my brush and wash-cloth soak a while before shaving. I then warm my face and soften my whiskers before applying the lather. I then shake the water off of my brush & often by hand apply a little of this cream to the brush and then using the lid I whisk up a nice lather before applying it to my face. It usually does not take much soap to get a good rich lather. I like this product.

Don't know what this scent should be, but it's not bay rum
I have now used a couple scents from the Knightsbridge line; the charcoal and bay rum. While I do like the way it lathers up and on, both have had a very perfumey scent to them. The charcoal I sort of excused, didn't really know what to expect to be honest. But bay rum I am a huge fan of, and have used other products with the bay rum scent. This is nowhere near a bay rum scent, it's way too floral, and has none of the spice notes a bay rum should have.As I said, though, I will give this cream a lot of credit that it foams up well, and doesn't thin out once it's been exposed to a little air. I use it for both my face and body. I do not use a shaving brush, just lather it up with bare hands. The scent does stick a bit on you, so if you do like it, there's that. It doesn't seem to mix with or overpower aftershaves or cologne. I use Blades Grim aftershave, which is pretty strong, but it's all I smell once I apply it, not the shave cream.Glide on the cream is nice, with a minimum of nicks and cuts that aren't mostly my own fault. I don't experience any irritation I would blame on the cream, and I have fairly sensitive skin. I also do two passes to get extra close, with one of them being against the grain. It's a nice cream, on a function level, but need to either adjust or rename their scents. If you're looking for a bay rum scent, Taconic is a deeper, more traditional bay rum scent.

The best shave I have ever had!
I have tried other premium shave products, such as Proraso and Art of the Shave, just to mention two. If Art of the Shave is excellent, then Knightsbridge Signature is outstanding. Both lather well, but Knightsbridge provides an even thicker, smoother lather that lubricates your beard, so that the blade just glides across your face. The Signature scent is difficult to describe, but it has a very pleasant, mild, clean fragrance. I also tried their Charcoal fragrance which I find a bit too strong, although it, too, provides a very smooth shave. So all in all, I have finally found my go-to shave cream. Highly recommended!

Smells amazing and great lather
Second Knightsbridge I've purchased and this one is really good. So far they both have had great lather but the scent on this one is so much more subtle which is preferred, and this is much more gentle on skin, the other one (bay rum) would sometimes have a slight burn to it. Excellent soap for the price compared to Kent or Forbes

Better than T.O.B.S!
I used T.O.B.S for years and love it. It’s been hard getting it in Canada for a while now. It used to come fairly quick, but for a while now I think it only ships from the UK and takes several weeks. If you’re in the US it’s easy to get. Anyway, I ran out and needed to find something as good. Came across Knightsbridge Signature and based on the great reviews I decided to try it out. It came next day and cost roughly the same as T.O.B.S., but I believe there is more product. It’s very similar, but I think I prefer this product for its scent and texture. It’s slightly creamier and might be more soothing on sensitive skin. This is now my go-to! Just hope it doesn’t disappear anytime soon like T.O.B.S did!

Best cream I’ve ever used.
I’ve used many blades and many creams over the years. This shaving cream is the best that I’ve ever used. I wax a big fan of Taylor of old Bond street but I have a new favourite. There is nothing I dislike about it. Also I get the closest shave ever with my Feather blades.

Great shaving cream
I purchased this thinking it was shaving soap as I haven't had good experiences with creams. Let me tell you though, the scent of this is to die for. I use as little as I can get away with and find it's more than enough to regularly shave my face with. Lather is fantastic as long as I soak my brushes long enough and I haven't noticed any irritation from the product at all. I would recommend this to anyone.

Amazing Technology Beats Gillette Cans
My first shave with this product was the closest shave I've ever gotten. Had no idea soap could make such a difference.Outperforms my cans of Gillette Edge for Sensitive Skin in many ways. The Gillette is gummy, hard to rinse off of my face and razor and leaves a greasy residue on my chin all day. The Knightsbridge rinses instantly and leaves my skin feeling very clean. Gillette is thick , slippery and difficult to cut through. Knightsbridge is lathery yet somehow easy to cut through. You might think this would lead to more mistakes but it's the opposite. I can feel better through this soap and yet four or five passes doesn't even give a rash. The Bay Rum smells great. Similar to Hoxton's Bay Rum and The Body Shop's old blend: On the sweet side with recognizable vanilla.
