Fits an asus 15.6" gl551j like a glove. The little "bubbles" do provide a nice bit of padding and the quality of the sleeve is very nice! The bottom does have some protection as well, it doesn't have the same bubble padding, but instead it has a void that protects the bottom of the laptop.Most sleeves like this are useless for impact protection. I wanted a pelican case due to the value of the data in my laptop, but I figured that was too bulky and impractical. This isn't a pelican obviously, but this DOES have some meaningful cushion that will protect your laptop against most lighter impacts. I definitely wouldn't stand on your laptop in this though, of course :). Think of it like bubble wrap. It helps, but it's not fool proof.For more, this fits inside of my briefcase/bag pretty much perfectly (fills up the whole thing) and serves mostly as extra padding to protect my data and my laptop.It also will keep scratches and such off the lid of your laptop for resale later if that's your concern.I probably wouldn't use this as my ONLY protection against the harshness of daily life. However, inside of a backpack or any other easily carried tote....it's going to be exactly what you need for a 15.1-15.6" laptop. Especially if it's closer to 15.6" and if it typically has a optical drive. The really slim notebooks would probably bounce around in this.

Works well. But the outside feels like that cheap, thin padding you can find at the craft store.

These are our favorite laptop sleeves. They have the knobbers on the inside and protect the equipment exceptionally well. To date, we haven't had a single sleeve fail. We drag our laptops with us daily.The Zippers still work perfectly and none of the corners frayed. When the bright colors are available, we pounce and buy a couple. No colors this time, so we went with the ever classic black.Well made and works as it should - it protects our expensive tech.

Came with a pink trim. Not what picture shows. Gave it to charity. Steer clear.

Very good. This sleeve fits my MSI 15.6" laptop snugly, but well. There is no room for the power cables, but I knew that. There is only room for a thin document or folder and maybe some usb thumb drives.

Love this case. It was soft, yet durable. Purchased for my fiancé's new laptop/birthday, I'll be giving it to him this week. Will post an update with his thoughts about the product as well as more about the fit.

Perfect protection for my new laptop. The outside black cover is, indeed, faux suede and feels nice. The inside bubbles do exactly what they're supposed to do - protect the laptop.
