Glass bulbs instead of plastic
Never realized these had glass bulbs. Replaced incandescent bulbs months ago and power drainage dropped to 5 watts total for24 bulbs.Hurricane Ian blew the string down and one bulb shattered.Work fine.

Color is good, dimmable and look good

A different bulb than Britech sold in strings a couple years ago, may not be a good replacement
These bulbs differ from the earlier Britech bulbs, in that they are 2700K while the earlier bulb was 3000K. The bulbs are stamped with the same part number so you will NOT be able to distinguish these from the bulb itself, apart from the color when illuminated. You can however tell these apart from the box. These 2700K bulbs are packed in a small brown unmarked box, while the earlier 3000K bulbs were packed in a white box with printing, see the photo. Britech advertises all these bulbs as non-dimmable. The 2700K bulb is non-dimmable. The 3000K bulb was dimmable (just not advertised as such). If you need replacements of 3000K bulbs you can either contact Britech directly or perhaps find some 'new old stock' with the white boxes on your favorite auction website.

NOT G40
Trying to find replacements for G40 with a medium base has not been easy. Thought these were it, after much searching. But they are definitely G45 -- obviously larger -- and much brighter than the other bulbs in my string. They stand out like a sore thumb. If you're starting from scratch, they are probably fine, but not if you're looking to in-fill.

Great lights for outdoor garden area.
We bought these bulbs as replacements for for Brightech string lights. The original lights have been quite satisfactory with the exception of three bulbs which have lasted only 3 months. I expect a longer service life with LED's. However, given the number of light strings (6) the failure of 3 bulbs is statistically acceptable. I would recommend the light strings and replacement bulbs to anyone looking for great outdoor lighting with ambiance.
