The stones are embedded to lay flush with the surface of the ring. They can't snag on anything. The ring is very eye appealing. It has a nice balance of stone and color. It sits with stones on top the majority of the time. Being stainless steel, it's light and I don't play it like I did with my heavier ring. I highly recommend.
