Just got my set delivered. I'm blown away over the quality of packaging! I almost didn't want to open it! I love that the kit includes a nice plastic case for the balls, but it also includes a cutting card for those difficult to make designs. Previously I always ended up using one of the cards from my wallet, so the provided card was much welcomed. I'm already having a blast using these things to create shapes, but also practically as fridge magnets! I might just have to buy another set! If you're interested in buying a set of mag balls, I recommend buying these.

These are great, strong magnetic balls. The reason I am giving these 2 stars is because I am worried about the heavy metals and/or toxins in these. It says in the pamphlet that it contains nickel. It also says to wash your hands after every time you touch these! Yikes!

A friend gave me a set of sphere magnets like this a couple years ago which I played with for many hours creating various polyhedral and solid shapes. The plating gradually cracked off and wore off on the poles where the magnets snap together, exposing the dark rough magnet underneath. I bought these hoping to get a more durable set (and larger - I ordered 2 sets). These are perfectly uniform in size and roundness as advertised (just one exception in the 2 sets) and the magnets and packaging both appear to be high quality. Hopefully they will prove durable.Edit: Basically I 'm an adult math nerd, not the typical user. A very large variety of geometrical shapes can be created from even a single set of this (or similar) magnets. I enjoy the challenge of finding a way to create them (the semi-built structures tend to be quite unstable).

They're a fun distraction in a meditative way. It's peaceful to focus on building a structure because you're so focused on the task, you forget everything else. Even when you're not building, they're pleasing to fiddle with.

My 12-y-o son loves these! They're really strong, but not so strong that they're impossible to get apart. If you pull them just right, you can actually pull a big lump of them off in a big long string, which is fun to try. Good luck trying to get them back into the cube shape. That's very difficult, and apparently if you've lost any (like my son, who lost just one), the polarity of the magnets won't allow you to get it back to a square (minus one corner). Oh well. Super fun, and he already wants to use his money to buy more!

As a human person diagnosed with adhd I highly recommend this. I made a pyramid 7 levels high and 30 minutes went by before I realized. (Btw it was a super derpy pyramid)Update: I got a few more sets. Was able to break my tight spiral record of 10 balls circumference to 8 balls. I’m going to try for 6 next, but I don’t know if it’s possible...

This set of magnetic spheres is very great as I used to have some other ones around 7 years ago. However, there is one magnet that is very misshapen and noticeably oblong. The specs say that no magnet will deviate more than 0.05 mm, yet the one shown in the middle of the strand is much more than 0.05 mm. I don’t know if there is a way to get a replacement magnet or an entirely new replacement set but I hope that the company will notify me if there is something that can be done because I really enjoy the magnets but this one magnet can cause trouble when I try to build things.

Love these and my kids do too. The first days use will leave a bad metallic smell on your hands and even a little black. But, dont put them down and never pick them up again! The next use and all after leave none of that! It's like some factory coating or something....bc after day 2 of use I had no issues with smell or black. My kids love them. So so satisfying to meet any sensory need!!!
