Smooth. Takes Ink Nicely
Smooth paper is priced at a level that makes me feel comfortable using it. Sometimes, I'm reluctant to use the really nice stuff when just trying out something new. I feel more liberated to just draw. And it's good enough paper that the results look great.

Great Pen drawing pad! Pen doesn't bleed through
When the pad come in the mail it was not damaged so that's a plus .This pen drawing pad is amazing. The quality of the paper is very nice. I will most defiantly buy this again.

Perfect for technical pens!
I starting using Rotring Isographs a few months ago and this is the first paper I got with those in mind: It is a dream for technical pens! I do agree with the points made about potential for bleed through, and that you can’t remove pages from it, plus I was probably using crappy paper before;. But It is so smooth that as a beginner nothing else mattered to me.

Disappointed. Something has changed about this paper
This is the third of these sketchbooks I’ve had, and I’ve loved them for pen and ink sketching, even adding a light bit of watercolor or blending with a water brush at times and the paper has been awesome (I don’t mind a slight warping of the paper, as it will press nearly completely flat). BUT this book has slightly different paper - the paper isn’t as totally smooth as my older books and unfortunately my ink bleeds through in some spots. The description is exactly the same so I’m not sure what or why there’s been a change; it would have been good to know before ordering.

Incredibly smooth paper and medium paper weight
My absolute favorite paper to sketch in! The paper is incredibly smooth, like bristol, but it's definitely not as heavy. It can take watercolor, but be warned that it will warp the paper. Markers work amazing with this paper. Expect this to be just a sketchbook and not something super professional. Again, this is my personal favorite for the paper weight and smoothness. It will bleed through to the next page. Honestly, give it a try.

Good for pen, not for markers
Works fine for pen and ink. Alcohol-based markers will bleed and feather.
