This was perfect. It allowed me to use my new bluray player with only a HDMI output on an old tv with standard audio video cables. The only thing I had an issue with was the packaged directions. You have to plug in the AV cable (not included) from the TV to the box, the HDMI cable (not included) from the box to the bluray player, plus a UCB cable (included) from the box to a USB slot on the bluray player. There is a little blue light on the box that came on with the first two cables attached, but it didn't actually work until the USB cable was attached.

Did not work.

This unit provides a simple, low cost way to connect my HDMI-only Roku box to an old fashioned TV in my home office that has only A/V jacks. It was simple to connect and works just fine.

I bought it for a family member it works.
