Lorell Solid Wood Poster Frame, 22" x 28" (49222) , Black

It's perfect! I had been wanting to frame this picture for a while, but frames in stores are either the wrong size or too expensive. It had metal tabs secured along the back, which are always annoying to work with, but hold the picture well. There was a protective film on both sides of the clear plastic which I appreciate! It does have a slight glare, which may be due to it being plastic and not glass. Since it is a solid wood frame, there is a little weight to it. I just used extra nails to make sure it wouldn't fall... especially since it's hanging above my bed!

I ordered this frame with a sour taste in my mouth. First of all, I thought I had a perfectly usable frame at my disposal, ordered an inexpensive print (I'm on a budget), spent an hour or two antiquing said print to fit my space perfectly, only to discover that my frame was actually cracked and unusable. Drat! So, hating to spend the money and, seeing some less than stellar reviews, I suspected I would probably be disappointed when I ordered this frame.I was so wrong! In fact, of the frames I have ordered (many), this one is great: it arrived in perfect condition, the corners are perfectly aligned and secured, it has an extremely sturdy backing (similar to light-weight Masonite) with heavy duty hangers attached. The Lucite front cover is flat with minimal distortion to the print. I couldn't ask for a better frame at a more reasonable price, and I'd recommend this product to anyone.

I love when deals you think might be too good to be true are actually true! This isn't a $100 frame or anything, but it's really nice and well built! I needed just a nothing frame for a poster in my kids area, I didn't want just a cheap thin border type of frame though. This is a wood frame and looks great to be honest, it was packed/shipped EXTREMELY WELL too, I was really surprised it was so well packed. The box did get dented in shipping but there was no issue with the frame, like I said, it was packed well and looked perfect when opened. Very happy here with this really nice frame for a really good price, one of the best deals I've had recently to be honest. Thanks!

I've ordered several frames/posters from Am over the last few weeks, beefing up the movie room walls. This particular brand is far & away above the rest! The plexiglass is protected by film on both sides, is far more flexible (one from a different brand cracked while merely installing the poster, rendering that purchase 100% worthless), the frame on this brand is very sturdy, and even the little hanger things on the back appear to be stronger, less flimsy, thicker maybe. The backs of the other brands is simply cardboard, but on this brand, it's very, very sturdy material - dunno what it is, but it's really strong. I've got another by this brand arriving today and in the future, I'm only buying this brand. This one is far superior, in every way, to it's competitors.

I have ordered several frames in this price point before and they are always less than impressive. They aren't hanging expensive pieces of art - rather an amateur photo I took or a piece of spray paint art my friend made me. However, this one looks nice, feels durable in that it is wood and there wasn't any chipped or scratched pieces. I also liked that the clear plastic came with 2 protective layers (one on each side) which prevented any scratches or blotches in transport you just need to remove those layers prior to putting photo/art in the frame.

I was concerned that my frame would arrive damaged (as had been the experience of other buyers) but I am happy to report that it arrived in good condition! Via USPS nonetheless. Yes, there are couple of tiny scratches on the wood but they can easily be covered up with a black marker and unless you are looking closely, you can't see them. For the price, I am very pleased. I decided to leave the protective film on the clear plastic "glass" to cut down on the glare, as an other reviewer suggested. I am hanging my frame in a place that results in a lot of glare and leaving the film on really helps.

This frame is not solid wood, its some kind of fragile press board,. When broken it almost looks like compacted cardboard. you can see all the layers. The listing need to be changed because its not what they are selling!

This size is so odd to find in stores, I don't know why Shutterfly uses this as their "poster size" instead of 24x36. Still, after trying to find the product came swiftly and no damage to any of the frames. It's more sturdy than the Ribba frames from ikea. Perfect for what I was looking for.Packaging was a little suspect. It was just a cardboard box with no padding (the frame itself is shrinkwrapped only). But as I said, everything came with no damage, so wasn't a big deal. And it cuts down on waste, so that's nice.But I'm definitely not loving that the price jumped $5 in a day though (no it wasn't on sale, so I'm glad I bought it when I did). I was going to buy a few more, but now I'm holding off.

Frame is fine but packaging was inadequate. When I removed the cellophane and the picture back the frame came apart.
