Great for a small, non-jumpy dog
We use this at the bottom of our stairs to keep our stubborn pooch from sneaking upstairs to pee on the hallway rugs. It's good looking, and easy to move around as needed. It is quite low, so even for a dog the size of a beagle, I wouldn't bother. But for our Yorkie mix, it's perfect. It's a free-standing barrier, so it's not made for active jumpers or rambunctious critters -- you'll need something anchored by tension or hardware for that. If you use this as intended it's just great.

Edit: These are Worthless ....Meh. Work but definitely lacking in quality.
I bought 6 of these and the quality is very inconsistent. I've had to repair 2 of them new out of the box as either the screws were stripped out or the piece was not correctly fashioned together. One I received was missing finish on a full side...if I hadn't planned to repaint them and didn't have the skills to make the repairs I would have returned them.Edit: removed 1 star and would have given zero if I could. All 6 gates have come apart despite being gently used. They didn't last 6 months. Don't waste your money

Functional, but get the superglue
Looks pretty, very lightweight. But you get what you pay for. This keeps falling apart (3 times in 2 months) and we have had to use wood putty to put the screws back in and superglue with the dowels. Still, for the price and the looks I'd buy it again. It does the trick and keeps the dogs where I want/need them.

Solid...nothing wrong with workmanship but if you pet has hops...be aware might be too low to the ground

falls apart quickly
These gates fall apart soon after purchase. Would send back but boxes blew away in sudden wind storm. Do not buy these unless you want to throw your money down the drain.

Keeps monster poodles at bottom of the stairs
I bought this for my grandma & she needed it for the bottom of her stairs. It’s perfect & beautiful. My grandma & I love it. Monster poodle not so much
