Like that Acheron finally found out he had a daughter. Simi and her sister helped save the day! Just wish Ash could get away from Atermis for good!

Ash is back, and he's kicking...rear! This book brings back the power of the the earlier DH stories.
There was a winning formula to the early DH novels that has come back to make "Devil May Cry" an excellent story:Sin is a powerful yet tormented hero with a tragic past of betrayal during the ancient times of mythical gods. For centuries he has risked himself to protect the human race from demons. With the body of a god ( in fact he used to be one), dressed in black leather and armed with wicked weapons, Sin fights against a whole different type of demon. He and Ash are the only men in existence who have been able to stop the "Gallu Demons" from destroying the earth. These evil demons don't only kill any being they bite, they turn their victims into one of their own. With the power to reproduce so quickly, the Gallu are nearly the biggest threat to mankind. The only worse species are the "Dimme". These demons, who were imprisoned by Sin centuries ago, are about to break free. The Gallu are hoping to help free the Dimme. With Ash trapped by his promise to serve Artemis, Sin is fighting alone.Katra has the blood of three strong gods/ goddesses in her veins. She is a mighty force against evil. Unfortunately, she looks a lot like her mother. Sin has waited for centuries to kill the goddess who stole his god powers. When he entraps Katra, he is sure he has captured his ancient nemesis. When Katra learns of how her mother had taken Sin's powers, she decides to work by his side to make things right. She will help him fight the Gallu and Dimme. As Sin and Katra become attracted to each other, she decides she will also give him the ultimate gift.Over the following weeks, the powerful couple works together to beat back the Gallu, rescue Sin's twin brother(Zakar)from the Gallu leader, and stop the Dimme from escaping their prison. The battle includes recruiting the help of the Dream- Hunters, the Charonte demons (including Simi), The Dolophoni (warriors who serve the gods), a human friend, and even a Daimon. Acheron and his mother, Apollymi the goddess of evil, lend help and healing when all seams lost. When Katra is bitten by a Gallu, and she begins to transform, Sin is willing to make a huge sacrifice to save her. With Acheron's help, Sin bonds himself to Katra for life. From that moment, she can only survive on his blood. When the greatest battle is upon them, Artemis is finally convinced to free Acheron from his servitude. With his inner beast thirsty for blood, Acheron jumps into the fight. Combining their powers and knowledge, Sin, Acheron, Katra, Zakar, and all of their allies, enter the realm of the evil demons in a heroic attempt to save humanity. With all of this excitement occurring, there is still plenty of time given to the romance between Sin and Katra. As always, Kenyon's love scenes do not disappoint. Throughout the book we get a clearer history of Acheron's past and his connection with Artemis, ties are revealed between past characters, and family bonds are built. One of the things I was most happy about, was the fact that Acheron's character was strong again. I was a bit put off by his weakness in "Dark Side of the Moon." Best of all, the book ends with his service to Artemis completed. I'm hoping this means he will take a strong role in the DH stories to come, as he did is the ones of the past.

The sexy Sumerian God!
“You know the incredible thing about hearts is their unbelievable capacity for forgiveness. You’d be amazed what people will overlook when they love someone. (Acheron)”― Sherrilyn Kenyon, Devil May CryKat has appeared in many of the books before this one so you get to know her a little bit through the other books. She is very strong willed, kind, and very honest. Katra has unimaginable power that no one quite knows about. When they first introduced Kat in previous series, I knew I would like her, she is a bad-ass in disguise.Sin who use to be a the god of fertility and the moon. Years ago he has his powers stolen right out from under his nose. In the beginning he was a pissed off Sumerian who was bent on revenge.Artemis is scared that Sin is going to try and come kill her again. So she sent out dear out Katra to assassinate him. But Katra doesn't want to kill him until she has enough evidence that he is just as crazy and messed up in the head as people say he is. She first say him killing a gallu and chopping their heads of and burning his flesh with a knife, she thought he was mad. He vanished from her sights and she looked all over for him, until she ran into a gallu which almost killed her and he saved her. Now she knows the issue at hand and doesn't want to kill him because if she does the world will die as they know it.This book was a little different with the romance and the love making. There was no "God I gotta have her now" when they first met. Actually when they first met, Sin mistook Kat to be Artemis and tried to kill her. Go figure no love there. But Kat has never and I mean ever been with a man before. I thought it was sweet how they came to be together slowly but surely, they got to know each other.I throughly enjoyed this book for many of reasons:1. Acheron was in it2. We learned more about Acheron's past3. We learned who Katra really isAlso Kat has gone eleven thousand years knowing who her father is and basically sees him everyday but she can't utter one word to him. In this story she was finally able to talk to him and it made me cry. I was really happy for Kat. In the other books Artemis really pisses me off, if I could smack her I would. She keeps Acheron tied up like a puppy dog and I feel so bad for him. But now, knowing she is able to love and take care of another being, I feel a little different about her.If your currently reading the books before this and as soon as you get to this one you will fall in love.

Dark Hunter World - Devil May Cry
This is the twelfth book in the series and features the ex Sumarian God Sin and and Artemis' handmaiden Katra (Kat). I loved the fact that this book explains a lot about not just Kat but Acheron and Artemis' relationship as well. It fills in a lot of the blanks and also confirms the suspicions I had over a lot of points. This book also introduces a new enemy which I assume will feature in future books, a Gallu demon named Kessar. This book wasn't my favourite so far but it certainly wasn't my least favourite and I am still a Dark Hunter fan but I hope that the series veers back towards the Dark Hunters soon. I would agree with other reviews I have read in that if you haven't read the previous books then this one probably wouldn't make all that much sense to you so I would definitely advise to read the others first. I really do like Kat's character and we have seen her pop into a couple of other books so far so she quite rightly deserved her own story. Sin sounds absolutely 'sinful', the description of him and his twin brother left my mouth watering! A fresh new twist on the stories with the introduction of the Gallu demons and I look forward to reading the next book.It took me quite a while to get around to discovering this series as when you look up Sherrilyn Kenyon on Amazon and these books in list order it actually shows Dragonswan as being the first book (but it's not) and Dragonswan is never ever available to buy! As a girl who likes to read all books in a series and most definitely the first one in a series, thinking that I couldn't get the first book did actually stop me starting the series. I have only just discovered that the first book is actually Fantasy Lover, read this and have now proceeded to order the rest of the series:) Sherrilyn has now joined the ranks on Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole on my favourite authors list and I can't wait to read the next one.

Fill my life with Sin...
I thought that this book was....there are hardly words for how brilliant I believed this book was. I disagree with the previous review which says it's only for longtime fans - anyone who loves a strong yet sweet hero who still is rough, and an empowered, humourous female will LOVE this book. The characters have great chemistry and wonderful personalities which mesh well together. The secondary characters are ones Kenyon fans have seen before and are brilliant as they always are.I am a longtime Kenyon fan, and did buy this book out of having read and loved all of her previous work. But when I started it I was instantly hooked, in fact burning the midnight oil nigh until 2 in the morning! The reader will automatically side with Sin when reading of his past and will in turn shiver at his sensuality and laugh at his dry humour. Sin is a great hero - I have to say it again!Katra, Kat, is a great heroine, one for the millenium. She has refreshing views about most everything, knows how to kick butt, when to make a moment light and knows how to bring a man to his knees - and not in a dirty way! Although come to think of it... ;)This love story is created as only Kenyon can create and is fabulously funny, wickedly sensual and heartbreakingly wonderful. Read it and you will not regret it.

Lots of questions answered. Very satisfying read.
Sherrilyn Kenyon does it again with another fantastic book in her Dark Hunter series. I loved this story in particular as it revealed a number of relationships between some of the series' most prolific characters, including Katra's true parentage. The two main characters, Kat and Sun are strong and vividly painted, with a past that has defined them. And for the first time, SK introduces a little Sumerian mythology into the mix, bringing a host of new gods and demons to help keep the series fresh. It definitely works. This book was one of the most enjoyable in the series so far.
