I use to strap down my bee hives
These straps are great if you do not need to pull down super tight, but need them to stay snug. I use these for my bee hives to prevent any chance of wind blowing them over and they do work very well. I can get them plenty snug and they are quick to release for my inspections. Will be buying more for other uses as well, but can say these are very handy straps to have around. Very strong material, quality clasps. Packaging is a bit of a pain, but you only use that once, so not a big deal.Highly recommend these straps over the ratchet for some applications

Secure, Easy-to-Use Tie-Downs for Small Loads
The SmartStraps 6’ Cambuckle Tie-Downs are a reliable and easy-to-use solution for securing dirt bikes, ATVs, mowers, and other small loads. I used these to tie down a lawnmower in my truck, and they held firmly without slipping during transport. The 400lb working load limit (1,200lb break strength) is perfect for lighter loads, and the cam buckle design makes tightening and releasing quick and hassle-free. Unlike ratchet straps, these don’t require as much effort—just pull tight and secure. The durable webbing holds up well under tension, and the coated S-hooks help prevent scratching on equipment or vehicle frames. One small thing to note: For heavier loads, you’ll want ratchet straps instead, as these are best for medium-duty applications. And here’s a quick joke: Why do tie-down straps make great friends? Because they always have your back!Overall, the SmartStraps 6’ Cambuckle Tie-Downs are a solid choice for securing smaller loads. They’re strong, easy to use, and great for transporting ATVs, bikes, and lawn equipment safely.

Great for Kayaks!!!!
I used these to secure my kayak to the roof of my 03 4 door Chevy Blazer and they worked great! I was a little skeptical because I was using ratcheting tow straps and those LOCK a kayak to the roof. However I read that you risk damaging the kayak by squeezing it too much with ratchet straps. With these cam straps, the kayak isn't as tightly secured but it's secured more than well enough. I strapped my Ascend FS10 10 foot recreational kayak to my roof and drove 4 hours with it, averaging 60 mph to 70 mph on the highway.I used these in conjunction with these J-bars. The smartstraps cam straps are a far superior strap than the straps that come with these J-bars. The strap webbing is wider and thicker. The camlock is larger. I used one strap for every j-bar meaning if you buy this product and the SmartStrap cam straps then you'll be able to carry 2 kayaks at once on your roof:TMS 2 Pairs J-Bar Rack HD Kayak Carrier Canoe Boat Surf Ski Roof Top Mount Car SUV CrossbarI'm sure there are plenty of other good uses for these straps but if you were like me and in the market for a nice set of cam straps for your kayak, these are a low-cost solution!A few tips/comments:1. I wasn't aware when I bought them but each strap has a non-removable hook on one side. That may be a plus or a minus for you. It didn't make a difference for me. It is removable but that'll involve cutting it off permanently.2. Make sure you feed the strap the correct direction through the camlock. There's an arrow on the camlock.3. Once you get the kayak on and strapped in, pull the slack portion of the strap tight. And then get your girlfriend to pull it tight. And then get your girlfriends sister to pull it tight.4. To secure the slack line, I just close my doors on it and then tie them to the Jesus handles in the back seat. That keeps the straps from flying everywhere on the road.

These do the job perfectly and are very easy to operate for me
I needed these cam type tie downs and not the ratchet kind because I needed to tie down a motorized wheelchair in the back of my van. These do the job perfectly and are very easy to operate for me. No fuss, no muss. The straps were much too long so I cut them short and melted the cut ends with a Burlee torch so they won't unravel. The chair weighs 175lbs but each strap only has to worry about a 1/4 of that so they are plenty strong for my application. The price was stupid cheap so I'm thinking of buying another set of them just to have as spares or for whatever..I like the bright green because they are easy to see when I have to load/unload my chair in the dark.I can't find anything at all to complain about with these straps. A-OK with me !

Have patience Loading the Straps First Time
Straps are nice well packagedBUTLoading the End of the Strap through the Metal Clip is a True ChallengeUse a Flat Screwdriver to assist feeding the StrapRecommendation for Manufacturers Cut the Strap at a Angle instead of a Straight Flat Cutit would be easier to Feed Through
