OEM replacement
Cheaper that buying a new unit. I damaged the original and it still last but finally shorted out.

Not ideal for an iGrill
I'm sure there are many other iGrill owners in the same boat as me, since the supply for the iGrill branded replacement probes seems to have dried up....so hopefully this will be useful to others. This probe looks like it will work well with iGrill. The plug is exactly the same. The cord looks like it is of good quality...the plastic shielding by the actual probe is nice, so you can grip it without burning yourself, when it's time to remove the probe. However, all is not shiny and bright....While the probe appears to work, it doesn't seem to be calibrated properly to the iGrill. I have 2 of these and they both read approximately 30 degrees cooler than actual temps. this sounds like a deal breaker...but it doesn't have to be. You can basically just set your alarm to go off 30 degrees lower than you would have, and everything turns out fine.If you forget to adjust the desired temp though, your meat will be overcooked....so buyer beware.

Careful buying this probe to replace other than CDN DTP392 probes!
After reading some answers to customer questions about these probes I bought several (good price) to replace a defective probe on my CDN DTP482. Although they look alike, this probe will not work with the DTP482 the resistances are totally different on the two probes. The resistance on the four new AD DTP392 probes range from 285K ohms to 239K ohms. The resistance on the CDN DTP482 probe is around 1500K ohms. I've seen questions asked about the plug sizes and although they are the same size (1/8" audio) the probes may or may not work to replace your current probe. The CDN AD DTP392 probes registered 144 degrees F on my DTP482 when I plugged them in.As an aside, since I already had the probes, I ordered a CDN DTP392 Digital thermometer and it malfunctioned 30 seconds after I started it up. Cheap Chinese made junk.I gave the probes a three because of the wide range of resistances between the four new ones I have.

AD-DTP392 Replacement Probe
After reading other reviews, I took a chance and ordered this probe to replace the one from my Weber therometer, which I believe is the same as the Oregon Sientific. I recieved it the other day, plugged it in and bingo! my thermometer works like new. My original got toasted by a grease flare up, and with all of these they have a temp limit, so watch it. This one's temp limit is 400 deg F. I haven't used it enough yet to know how long it will last, but I'm sure it's disposable like all the rest so order 2 or 3 and when the enevitable happens you'll be back in business in a flash. Happy Cooking!!

Works for multiple brands if the pin is the same size
If your like me these probes only last about a year. Maybe this one will last longer as the wire is wrapped in silicone as it enters the metal tip to prevent moisture from getting inside.I would have given it a 5 star if it wasnt so expensive. I use it on my Oregon Scientific and Brookstone models without a problem.I am moving this from a 4 star to 5 star because it is still working after 16 months. I think the difference is the silicone that keeps the water from entering the probe. when it craps out i will update the review. One additional note - although it works with both my units it doesnt quite snap into the Oregon Scientific unit so you can't tug on it or it will fall out. Still reads the temp fine.12/17/12 - OK this thing finally crapped out. For under $10 it was worth it so buying a second.

Works fine with my Mr Bar-B-Q product. Model 40128.
Works fine with my Mr Bar-B-Q product. Model 40128. This model has 2 sensors. One of them had stopped working and I could not get a replacement sensor from the manufacture.

CDN AD-DTP392 Replacement Probe For DTP392
The probe is excellent and I believe it is accurate. But it burns out / fails at the least provocation. It is not bullet-proof - maybe even delicate."Provocation" includes: use in an oven just a little over the recommended temperature limit, or maybe unknown and accidental contact w/ a hot oven surface.I have had to replace the probe twice - as indicated above. Therefore, this is my third probe.Obviously, the probe is absolutely necessary for the thermometer to function.
